    I received a letter from 2000 Pennsylvania Ave NW #285 Washington DC 20006 . With a check attached for several thousands .  I thought I should check it out.  And found this site.  It is what I thought a scam

    First thing I would do is take the check to the bank its drawn from and find out if its valid. If it is, read everything contained in the letter to ensure your not going to be obligated for anything.
    If it is not valid, contact the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
