Would like to know if legitimate lawyer.

A quick search finds a company with that name in Delaware BUT  they manage private equity projects.  What other information do you have ON THE CALLER?  If they call again, demand their bar license number  and the states where they are allowed to practice. IF they refuse - 100% scam.

I just received a summons to appear in court from these guys at my job.  Is that legal?

My wife got a summons to appear in court from these people yesterday at her job.  We started getting messages from them last week but they never stated in the message why they were calling.  Now I have a court date set and wish they had the customer service to give the details in their message, I might have been able to handle this before they embarrassed my wife at work.

In order to help you, we need the details from the document with which you were "served".  However, you need not give us your name.  All the details are now "public information", so you can freely tell us.

1.  Was the document handed her by a person with appropriate ID, or did she get it as an email / message?

2. Give us the details at the top of the document:
Court name and location,  the name of the judge, the plaintiff's attorney's name (and Bar number if possible),  the name of the company or person that is suing you, the date you are supposed to appear, and possibly a docket number.

3.  Tell us the details of your supposed violation, but do NOT give us YOUR ID info.

Can you do that, to prove your statement, or did I ask for too much information?
(If you fail to reply, there would be a strong suspicion that you are merely shilling for the subject company)
