I answered and no one responded.

I let it go to voicemail. No message was left. Number is now blocked.

The guy that called says its Texas #1 Service. He called my grandmother offering to do a new roof. She said she'd have to discuss with her husband & he says "no you don't".... He's called her a couple of times even after she said no.

Guy whom I could barely understand called my office and when my assistant said I was not available, told her they would be by for a free 20 minute roof inspection.  When she tried to say, wait, we're not interested, he hung up before she could get the sentence out.  In light of the recent storms and hail damage, BEWARE of these  scammers and others knocking on your doors wanting to do your roof.  Always use a reputable, local company.  Even if you have to wait longer than you'd like for your repair, it's much better than shoddy work or someone running off with your money.

Same thing here. Called me from an obvious call center, but had a local number. I told him I'd take a message. And have since blocked the local number. Definitely beware - the weather is about to take another turn and the bad guys are just waiting in the wings to make a buck.

Called my cel phone and as usual, I don't answer calls where I don't recognize the numbers. No voice mail left either. When this site is the first hit on the Google search for the number, I block it. This one is now blocked on my end.

They called and set up an appointment. They showed up for the appointment, and they're clearly gypsies. Don't let these guys anywhere near your property.  I immediately canceled , and sent them on their way.

They are now using this number for the recent May 9th hailstorm in Denver, and calling themselves "Colorado One Services" and claiming to be a local company. They had an incorrect address for me which tipped me off. I only took their number to look them up to see if they were a local reputable company, which clearly they are not based on the others who have posted from around the country. Seems like this company is looking to take advantage of any homeowner who lives in a hail-damaged area of the country--changing their name depending on the state.

This call came in on our land line. Our cable company picked it off as a scammer, so it only rang one time.

We had a huge hail storm last night, so I guess they are calling about that (after reading the above posts). They waste no time. I guess there are some folks that don't realize that if you're on the no call list then people calling are breaking the law, if you're on the no call list, and can't be trusted.

We had golf ball-sized hail last night. What a mess! These people are so low to pull these scams.

im in Illinois.  they call and are very pushy. I asked for a formal phone number and address, they said they wont give me an address, till I let them come to my house, I said - You have my personal phone and address, - I want yours right now! - they hung up.  Had a few different call lines, to which I am now blocking. last guy was named Kevin

Guy called me at work.  Came up as a local number.  He said his name was Eric Davis.  He said his company had A+ rating. They would be in my neighborhood tomorrow and wanted to set-up a 20 minute appointment to look at my roof.  I said I wasn't available, but he kept trying to get me to agree.  While he was talking I decided to Google the local number which came up as a personal address with a different name.  When I asked him why his name and number didn't match he tried to say that it was a work number.  When I told him I was at work, he tried to get my cell number, like I am that crazy.  Obviously scammers trying to rip people off, ended up just hanging up on him.  At least I was able to take 10 minutes of his time so he couldn't scam somebody else. It will be interesting to see if they are roaming around my neighborhood tomorrow.

In Colorado and got this call. Looking at this page I see it's a scam, so I'm going to not be home at the time we set up. Thanks everyone for the advice. The guy's number came up local but he gave me an 888 number to call back on, but when I call back neither number works. Sheesh. I can't cancel, so I will avoid.

An aggressive man from Indiana One Service called to come look at my roof for hail damage. He wouldn't take no for an answer and kept trying to get the name of my insurance company from me.  I couldn't remember the name of my insurance. I tried to tell him I didn't want his service, but he said he was local and really wanted to help me.  He is supposed to come tomorrow night.

I got a similar call yesterday, did they ever show up?

I got the call from this phone number this morning. The usual routine for a scam: the guy said that his company would be in the neighborhood and would I like an appointment in the morning or evening to have my roof and gutter inspected for free? I am not the homeowner. The homeowner is my daughter who was asleep. So I told him that I was not the homeowner and that I was not authorized to make these decisions, but to give me his number and the name of his business and my daughter the homeowner would call him back. I had to say this three or four times before he would finally give me his number and company name. So of course, reading the posts, my daughter won't be calling.

Persistent, forceful callers who repeatedly call and say they are from "Indiana One" and that they will be on my street the next day.  They tell me they will come to assess the damage on my roof.  I have no roof damage. They are storm chasers who are trying to scam me out of money.

Today 29 July 17 I received a call from Texas One Service claiming they were a BBB A+ Company with License and Certs. They said they were local from my town and would be coming by to inspect my home however when I asked for their address they would not give it to me so I did a reverse search of the phone number and found this website. Thank you for your posts. It smelled fishy to me and I was correct. Individual who called said his name was Kevin Smith although he had a heavy Hispanic accent.  I asked why, he said his father was white and mother Hispanic. I am Hispanic and it upsets me to see scammers of my own ethic background trying to scam people. I will cancel their inspection on Monday when they come by. I was not even planning on letting them come in my home.

Called me 8/15/17 from a local number and gave this number as their office.  Nobody picks up.  Said they are Nebraska number one service.  Thanks for your posts.
