Anyone who has been scammed by this LPS or whatever the devil they are calling themselves now, should report them:

    http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection

Also contact the California Attorney General

    http://oag.ca.gov/consumers/general/collection_agencies10

If you have already paid anything to this group, go back to the bank and try to reverse the transaction.  If you used credit or debit cards, get new cards and stop payment.

No debt collector is entitled to anything unless they have given the debtor a validation letter sent by US mail.  E-mail no good.

Nikki, you say they are garnishing you already? did you sign a document that stated u were going to be garnished? or did just automatically start taking out of your paycheck?

"Nikki" is a shill trying to keep a scam going. Your wages CANNOT be garnished without a court order. Court order means court case. Court cases are a matter of public record. A quick call to your County/City/State court officer will tell you if there is/was a case. Start there.

LPSG is really LSAG. LSPG is their DBA. I hired a private investigator. The real office is at 12062 Valley View Blvd. Its off Valley View and Chapman in Garden Grove. They are debt collectors who use illegal tactics to scam people breaking the fair debt collection act and need to be stopped. They change phone number and names they use often.Call your bank to report fraud and get a refund if you gave them money and then talk to a attorney. You can also report them to http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection or

I have no idea who this is, keep leaving messages  saying they're going to send someone to my home or place of business but when I called they had no idea what my address or info was.

My receptionist received a call from this company alleging that there was a "failed attempt at delivering a court summons" and that I was to call back to "reschedule" within two hours. The person calling said they were "Keith with LPS". They left a case number and a phone number of 213-437-3501. I called the 213 number back about 20 minutes later and someone answered with "Loss and recovery?". I told them that someone had called my employer and demanded I call back so I was calling back. The man asked for the case number and then said "I'm going to look this up and put you on hold". Then I sat on hold for about 5 minutes. Eventually, I just hung up. I submitted a complaint with the FTC and have no debts in collections. As far as I know, this is a scam. If they call my work back I'm going to request verification in writing and if they refuse I'll talk to a lawyer.

    Most likely this group:
    http://lpsgroup.biz/
    LPSG
    LPS Scam
This group of scammers has a long history on 800notes.
    Known for:
    • Constantly calling you at work when you have asked/told them not to.
    • Revealing your debt to third parties.
    • Leaving messages and not revealing they are a debt collector.
    • Threatening a lawsuit when they do not intend on bringing one.
    • Claiming that you can or will be arrested if you do not pay the debt.
    • Claiming that a judgment will occur immediately if you do not pay.
    • Claiming that they can garnish your wages if you do not pay.
    • Claiming that they will put a lien on your house if you do not pay.

Demand a debt validation letter if they call you and demand it be sent by US mail.  E-mail no good.  Of course , they won't do this.
Do not pay them anything w/o such a letter, if you have paid them anything or are  in the process of paying them anything, it might be a good idea to simply stop paying them.  Any credit or debt cards numbers they have should simply be cancelled and new ones obtained.

These people are serious debt scammers.
    Report them:  http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection
Also report them  to the California Attorney General:
    http://oag.ca.gov/consumers/general/collection_agencies10

If they continue to bother you, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the [***] are working out of now.

Crazy story.. I just got a fax with some really private information (socials/ bank numbers/ etc..) from a Rayna Guttman from LPSG. I know the fax was not meant for me  but it is hilarious that I could very easily put everyone that is making so many of y'alls lives terrible into a huge financial bind by simply posting that info. Crazy Twist- and Rayna (ovatxr91), you need to be fired for allowing that to happen..
