Wells Fargo collection

Suspect a Scam.  Service paper called 714 510-3879  saying I was served.  Than I check 888 256-8667 with reverse check,  They said they represent Wells Fargo Bank and they filed a law suit to recover something happened 4 years ago on penalty  of returned checks  $400.  They will sue for $2,000 lawyer fee and court cost.  I told them good luck with that and hung up.

Private number called. Gave me this number to call and a “case number”. Called this number. They wouldn’t tell me who they were, asked me to verify my social, again wouldn’t tell me who they were, told me “good luck in court” and hung up on me. Definitely scammers.

They had my full social security number, called my mom to get ahold of me, had all of my previous addresses I’ve lived at. Were very short and rude. Wouldn’t give me all of the information, told me that I owed US bank 1300 bucks for a fraudulent check and I’d owe court costs. They gave my mom and I two different names “meridian group” and “msg law firm” I said go ahead and take me to court. I’ve never had a us bank account. Will update if they call back.

They also gave the 800 number, with a case number and said that the check was from four years ago. Definitely scammers.

Called requesting money for overdraft charges from wells fargo.  do not have a wells fargo account.  wanted half payment today to stay out of court.

Got a call with a blocked number (Unknown Caller) telling me I being served but no info. Was told to call a number and given a case number. Had the number checked and found it on the scammers list with multiple other people getting the same call. Called them out on it.

Got a call from this number 8882568667, claimed there was a warrant out for my daughter. Gave a case number, never identified himself or company. I searched the number. Definitely scammer's. What he didn't know, I work with PD.

Got same call told me same thing

Called saying there was a complaint about my husband, told me I was being 'nosey for following up for him. Total scammers.

They called my aunt said I was reported for something gave a case number so I called left a message for them to call me back cuz I guess even scammers go home for the night. Diff number called me left a message on my voicemail for me to call back then left a second voicemail and the idiot didn’t realize he was on my voicemail talking about a feather. So I called back the second number the guy sounded like a [***] he was cocky and so I called him out on being a scam. I have no bank account I owe no money to anyone I handle my business cash only. Work under the table. I would have no reason to owe anyone not especially a bank. They would not tell me what I was being reported for he hung up on me so I called back. I pretended like them said they were being reported and investigated. First it was some mfg or msg now they were some federal meridian [***]. So I called the first initial number got a diff guy. He said he would see me in court and hung up. I called back and they made a deal with me said if I leave them alone they would leave me alone. I guess we can all stop paying our bills and let [***] go to collections harass them back and all our debt will be forgiven. I told them to get a real job.

Got a call with a blocked number (Unknown Caller) telling me I was being served but no info. Received a second call from number 714-510-3879 and was told to call that same 888 number and given a case number. Had the number checked and found it on the scammers list. Called the police department and reviewed the case # they provided and the police didn't even recognize the record they provided. This is a SCAM!

These people just started calling me, threatening the same thing!!!!!

I received a call from 714.510.3897 and it’s a scam. I was told I am being sued by Wells Fargo for money I owe them.  I am wondering if this is an account they opened before they were caught opening bogus accounts.
