Kept getting the same call from the same women with First Revenue Assurance to please call 888-258-5843. I called them back and got a very rude man with the accent from the middle east. He would not and absolutely refused to disclose what type of business they were. He kept insisting that he speak with my mother. I finally hung up on him, because he was just the rudest, nastiest person ever!! went on line, and I am now seeing what they are claiming to be, and I know for a fact that this is a true form of identity theft, and fraud scam group of people. My mother has always paid cash for everything her entire life. The only form of card she carries is a Visa debit card, and she uses cash or her check book. Why hasn't the FBI been involved with finding out who and what these people, who are definitely not from the USA, are really up to???

This company has called all 4 phone numbers on our family cell phone plan.  They appear to be a debt collection company which is fine...I'm behind on lots of bills...however, they hung up on me when I asked who they were and why they were calling.  They asked for my Social Security Number and I said...well, who are you and they disconnected.  For my sister in law, she answered the phone and it said press 1 if you are Katie, press 2 if you are not.  She pressed 1 for Katie and then it disconnected on HER.  Whatever it is, it's not going to get through to any of us anymore.

Received a call from First Revenue Assurance on my phone. I did not answer since I did not recognize the number. A ladies voice left me a message and an 888 number to call back. She did not say why they were calling. I will not be returning the call.

I found their HQ and I called First Revenue Assurance after my bank found they had put a negative item on my Credit Report.  I supplied them with an ID # to which they did not recognize, they had my SSN # to which this was registered under a completely different name from mine.  I have never received any formal notification of debt owed.  They are practicing imorally and constantly harassing people, they should be brought to justice.  Anyone thought of writing to the media or a TV consumer program regarding these people ?

I keep receiving several recorded messages at 8pm in the evenings!

The calls just started yesterday always late evening.I'm not going to return the call, never asked for anyone. who is this ?????

wow...after reading all these im glad i disputed this bill on my credit report. i check my credit every week online and outta the blue this bill shows up last week for $389. i just finished cleanin up my credit and someone else is tryin to get money.i have disputed it and am glad i decided to check out other ppl who also got scammed.

I get two to  three call a day from this number. I don't answer it and they often come in under different numbers, they are at least, getting smarter. But I don't answer any calls I don't know the caller. And that is terrible that there are so many skammers out there that we cannot get complete use of our telephones without being pertered by crooks.

Harassing calls at work.

I get at least 2 calls a day from this number...How can I stop it!

Apparently this number is used by First Revenue Assurance in order to trick you into answering the phone, because they didn't get a response on other numbers from which they call.  They probably want to shake some money loose for a student loan I defaulted on when I lost my job due to the failing economy.  Since Bush wouldn't bail me out, I'm not bailing anybody else out, either.  His cronies made a fortune on rapacious student loans and the can be satisfied with the profits from those endeavors.  I'm 57, going blind, and plan to have this discharged in bankruptcy court.  You can petition for that relief if you can no longer reasonably be expected to work a full-time job in a field that will earn enough money to repay the loan due to a disability.  Even student loans can be discharged in bankruptcy if you have a disability.  Talk to several bankruptcy attorneys to get details on how this can be done.

This is from a disgruntled FRA employee.  We were told to keep
calling even though the numbers were registered with the FCC
no-call list, in violation of the FCC rules.  I hated FRA.

every time I get a call I foreward an email to all the email addresses of the company... guess they will change addresses down the line, but at least they have to delete the messages for now... small act of defience but what else do I have... at 70 not a lot of excitement in my life anyway... Hey maybe I should just start anwsering the phones and keep them on the line . Naw,,
