I have received a fax every single day for months from a company named BUSINESS CAPITAL GROUP.  The number listed for fax removal is 888-261-0363.  However, the company answering this phone has no idea who this is.  How can we stop these faxes?

You are being scammed here. The only way to stop it is to call your telephone provider and have the offending number blocked. If you called the "removal" number you just screwed yourself. You verified their junk fax reached you and you enabled them to sell a good fax number to other scammers. Always call your phone provider and have those numbers blocked. Do the same with scam telemarketers on your mobile phones as well.  I hope this helps you.

Received fax from Western Financial pre-approving our company for a credit card. This was the number they used to ask them to stop sending faxes. As the previous poster noted, calling them does no good.

Get faxes from Western Financial and use the # to be removed to no avail-scammers

Bogus "removal" number listed on a cash advance junk fax scam.

We receive faxes of this type at our office and I report them to the Office of the Indiana Attorney General.  Indiana has a "Do Not Fax" law and filing a complaint with the Attorney General's office has been great at reducing the number of junk faxes we receive.   Here is a link to the Do Not Fax website for Indiana.  If you don't live in Indiana or have a program like this, maybe you should approach your Attorney General about setting something up for your state.   http://www.in.gov/attorneygeneral/2439.htm

Received a fax from Private Equity Group with this fax removal number.  However, it doesn't even ring.
