- ChrisJust got one too, message left but some was chopped off at the beginning, so it was probably a robo-dialed, pre-recorded message, even though it tried to sound (the part I heard) like it was personalized. Talking about my "last courtesy call and they have found a solution through a non-profit agency that will be a good opportunity for me since I am only making minimum payments on my credit card" They want you to call them back at the aforementioned number. Why would you be calling if I was making the minimum payments on my credit card? Besides, I pay my credit cards off monthly and have never given a creditor my work phone number - DELETE!

- ozwitch| 1 replyCame into work and the message with no header on voicemail. Called number and told then they called and left a message on a work number and that is illegal. Have no idea who they are or who they want, but they cannot call you at your work locationa nd told them that. they kind of giggled and hung up. Watchout for this it sounds like a scam.
- PeterI received this call on my mobile with the same "...since I am only making minimum payments..." spiel. 1. Never give my credit card companies my mobile number, and 2. they're not supposed to be calling mobile numbers. I'm reporting this to the FCC (I guess), but it probably won't do much good. With random dialing, these scammers are bound to hit on mobile numbers eventually!

- Chris| 1 replyReceived a bogus debt collection message on a business line - that happens to have voice transcription. The number called is on the Do Not Call list - I'll file a complaint against them. This is fraud - they're just waiting for someone gullible enough to give them their complete information over the phone
Here's the voicemail text ...
"Hey guys, Carol Casino here. Hey we spoke recently about trying to lower your interest rates and reducing your monthly payments on your credit card. So wanna get back to let you know they did find a solution to a nonprofit agency. We've got a program that can lower your interest rates to as low as one.5% and possibly cut those another payments in half and since you are only making the minimum payments this would be great opportunity for ya. This will be my last courtesy call so please give me a ring today. You can reach me at 1-888-261-4568. And don't forget you have your most recent statement on hand if you give me a call. The number again is 1-888-261-4568"- Call type: Debt collector

- PXI received the same message and filed a complaint with phone number to donotcall.gov. The funny thing is when the call came in, it wasn't the 888-261-4568 that came on the screen. It was a totally different number, 406-720-2736. In any case, I reported both numbers.
- Aries1975Carol must be busy, I got this call on Monday with the same spiel as listed above. I find it funny that the call begins with "Hey guys..." That's real professional, of course when you're just cold calling / scamming someone and have no idea who is going to pick up then I guess "Hey guys.." seems appropriate. Odd thing is this call came on my TracPhone...which only a few people even know I have - not my regular Verizone wireless phone. It's probably the same bottom-feeders that have been calling...usually a robo-call from "Rachel" offering to lower my intrest rates.
- Caller: Unnamed Bottom-feeders

- MyraThanks for all these comments. My call was at work and it was the same as these other calls. I called it and she answered Cristol or something close to that.

- MiaI received the same message to my business line. Definitely seemed like a scam.

- JeffJust got a phone call this morning from this number - front end chopped off, but same spiel as the other posts, about making minimum payments on my credit card or loan, and they can help...........

- Donnie HazleCalled the 1-888 number Ashley Martin left. Some other person answered...Keisha. I asked for Ashley and was told "she's on another line, could they help me." I said, yes. Either A: You called the wrong number, or B: You called my cell phone unsolicited. After about 5 seconds she said, she must have dialed the number wrong. I didn't say anthing for about 5 seconds, when Keisha said. Um. I will let her know. I said, please do, and know that if you called my cell unsolicited, I will report you because I'm on the National Do Not Call list. Keisha hung up on me. I immediately dialed them back and the next person who answered said again Ashley was on another line. I said, I need you to understand something. You take my number off your call list. I am reporting you as soon as I hang up and I better not hear from your company again. The second lady. Angela? I forgot her name, but she said no problem, I will make sure your number is off the list. I recommend you go to the do not call list registry and register your home and cell phones. Once you do that, you can report unsolicited scammers who call or text your phone. Threatening to report them, usually ends their calls.

- terriI also got the Ashley Martin phone call. 1.5% interest on a credit card? I don't think so.
- Call type: Debt collector
- PauletteI got this too, found it weird that they didn't list any company name......I have two credit cards and they are both prominent banking companies. Totally smells ROTTEN!
- Caller: Unknown
- Bri| 1 replyI also got a phone call saying they could lower my debt, and that I had talked to someone last week. The girl never said her name or who she was with, but to call the 888 number, even though she was calling from a 603 number...
- JHI also got this message today on my work phone from Ashley Martin, I happened to be away from my desk so I didn't answer. Unfortunately I can't screen my calls as I can from my cell phone because I need to answer my calls as they come in. Nice.
