- HeatherCalled 4 times first automated message telling me to call back to discuss a urgent IRS matter. The other calls were all at 6:30 am. Each time a man with thick accent stated with IRS Freud department. The first call the caller gave a fake name John Black and a badge number A812 (not real). Caller said if I was aware a arrest warrant was issued for IRS fraud. When I respond I was at my job with the police department and the officer next to me wanted to talk with him. The caller became arguementive attempt to tell the officer to arrest me. Officer (who started it was a scam) asked for him to prove who he is and proved contact informed and provide the supposed paper work. The caller began screaming and yelling and was ordering the officer to do as instructed then made threats. The caller hung up after a string of curse words. The third and fourth calls were the following day. The caller had a thicker accent difficult to understand. The caller was very aggressive demanding I spell my name and provide personal information when I refused he began threatening me. He said that I had a arrest warrant and that I have been uncooperative and hostile to investigators. When I told him he is not a IRS representative and to stop calling I hung up. He called back before I could block the number told me the police are coming to arrest me and I will be going to prison for IRS fraud.

- TIRED OF ITRecorded message that irs was filing charges for tax fraud... Getting tired of it. If you ask me ,its a laugh.. Not!
- Call type: Debt collector
- JennSame type of call.
First, the IRS NEVER calls you, they contact you by either by first class on very rare occasions registered mail.
Second, Do Not Answer the phone if don't know who's calling you! The moment you answer they know it's a good number. They will use it for their needs and then sell it off to the highest bidder! Your phone will never stop ringing, if you don't stop answering it. A valid business will leave you a detailed message with the name of the actual busimess, a contact name, phone number and extension number. Most of all real business a WON'T threaten you they can't, if they do file a complaint immediately with the FCC, no has the right to threaten you ever. Also, if it is a real business find them on the BBB (Better Business Bureau) website and file a complaint with them. No real business wants their BBB rating to be compromised.
Finally a little fyi...A couple in the mid--west was arrested last year for using this scam and stealing $150K from hard working people that didn't know better. Don't fall victim to this scumbag's!!(sorry there isn't a better word to describe them)
Good Luck!- Caller: ???

Please reply to this post, to let us know you read it, or have taken suitable actions to protect yourself. - KozyinnPretty much the same as above. It was a robo call message left on my voice mail. Indicated I need to call back and give them a file number they indicated. IRS deals in paper and would have mailed me information, not call. Especially if it was a matter of this nature. Optionally they would send a bunch of investigators in trench coats. They wouldn't call. Spammers! Block 'em!
