- Rick| 7 repliesThis IS fraud prevention from Suncoast Federal Credit Union. Called twice early on a Sunday morning. We looked up their fraud prevention number and it matched. Called them and they needed to verify current purchases that were out of our normal purchasing habits.

- Maybe not who they say replies to RickYou have made one of the biggest mistakes we see on 800 notes. You ASSUME that the caller is who they say they are based solely on what the caller ID tells you. Foreign 3rd world criminals use computers, high speed internet, voip & a few dollars in software to spoof (fake) their caller ID. NEVER give out personal/financial information on an incoming call. LOOK the number up, verify it.
- BigA replies to Rick| 2 replies"We looked up their fraud prevention number and it matched. " How exactly did you do that? I just went to their web site and there is only one number listed and this one isn't it.
- B-Edwards replies to Rick| 1 replyYou need something put on that burn? Doing some shilling, maybe?
- I hate scams replies to B-EdwardsGood one! I always call the number on the back of the card. I did respond to a text from a major bank which was thankfully legitimate regarding activity on my card. Will only call the number on back of the card for now on.
- EducatedReceived call twice called back said it was regarding fraudulent charges on my account when I called them out about it telling them that's not likely because I don't have a Suncoast credit union account they began to tell me that it must be related to someone else in my household however that's not possible and then she said she would remove my number to be called I asked her how would you remove my number if you're concerned with the fraudulent actions on my account at that point she hung up

- Kim SSo this # called me and my fiance several times over the weekend. I looked up the # and it did NOT match anything on Suncoast website. I decided to wait until Monday to call Suncoast directly (not the # this person told me to call). Suncoast told me this is them and basically needed to confirm some transactions because one of the stores I shopped at had its information "compromised" at one point within the last year. If you don't want to trust calling this number, just go to the Suncoast website and contact the number on that like I did. THIS IS SUNCOAST! Even though it seemed sketchy at first.
- Caller: Suncoast Fraud
- Not so sure| 1 replyI received several calls from this number. I did have an unauthorized purchase on my debit card, and I contacted Suncoast. They issued a new card and blocked the transaction. I am STILL getting calls from this number wanting my SS#, zip code and contact phone number, which I felt Suncoast would already have. I felt 100% this was fraudulent. And these thiefs have the capability to make up a name to show on Caller ID and it shows on my ID block as a robocall. None of my security questions were asked. I told her %%^&%$$##$ and hung up. I filed an FTC complaint.

- HStrawIt's legit. Suncoast Credit Union fraud prevention. I didn't answer (never do if I don't know the number) and they left a message. I called back right away and then checked my account online. Sure enough, 3 fraudulent charges.

- DeeI received a text. All I have with Suncoast is an auto loan and the savings account with less than $15 in it. The "account number ending in 0651" is not even my account number and I don't have a card with Suncoast. Amazon Prime tried charging a $100.27 membership fee.

- DanI just got off the phone with Suncoast, while the number is legitimate, they have no record of trying to contact me, so there is a concern that the number got spoofed and definitely DO NOT GIVE THEM ACCOUNT INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE, CALL THE NUMBER ON THE BACK OF YOUR CARD!!

- Kevin| 1 replyThis number is not associated with Suncoast. After they called me home and cell phone numbers multiple times. I went to the local branch and spoke with them. My card has be compromised, but was told they would never call me to verify this. They would email about it so that there is a paper trail. Do not listen to the recording and verify what your zip code is. Between that and your card number they can do anything with your card.

- Jennifer replies to KevinI have been with Suncoast for almost 20 years and this is the number Suncoast uses to call regarding suspicious activity on your card, but it is an automated message asking to you call back. As for texts, they do text suspicious activity information and ask you u to reply YES or NO to flag the transaction as fraudulent. They have never emailed regarding fraudulent transactions.
As other people have commented, when in doubt, just call the number on the back of the card to verify the transaction(s). - post pending moderator approval
- DavidYeah, I think this caller is fraudulent because I have received the calls and I am not even a member of the Credit Union.
