This callback number has been given out by scammers claiming to be from Spectrum.  The number is a text-mail subscriber number and not Spectrum.  Spectrum has been notified.  It was obtained by pretending to be a customer and asking the scammers for a callback number. Proof that it’s a scam is that Spectrum is not available in my neighborhood, yet these callers offer a heavy discount on my non-existent bill in exchange for a one-time charge they claim will be refunded.  They are not located in the US but will claim they are.  An easy question about their claimed location will be met by stalling so they can look it up with a search engine.  It’s an attempt to gain the victim’s credit card and other personal information.  They do so by claiming they’re asking to verify your account where in reality, they know nothing except what you tell them.
