There was a call from "UAVAILABLE" on my husband's phone, when I got home from work last night. A "Ms. James" left a message that stated I had 48 hours to respond or papers would be processed against me and I would be served. They gave me a case number, and wished me "good luck."

I checked my cell, and there were two voicemails on it. They turned out to be from one of my best friends. She told me SHE got a call from Ms. James saying the same things, and even giving HER the case number. ALARM BELLS. This is a scam. Ms. James never said what county, state, court, attorney's office, etc., the case was filed in, just the "case number."

The name of the so-called "attorney's office" is "Capital Litigation."

My husband tried to call back last night and had to leave a message. They tried to call him back this morning. I called them from my cell last night and left a message for them to call me back, which they did, stating I "needed to call back NOW." Well, I did, but the "lady" --and I use the term loosely-- didn't like me much when I got done with her. She tried to tell me I had a payday loan in 2006. Uhuh, not gonna work, since I KNOW I never had a payday loan. I told her that, and she hung up on me. I called back, and she passed me off to her "supervisor," since she wasn't having much luck HERSELF in trying to intimidate me into paying a fraudulent charge.  The "supervisor" kept trying to insist I had a payday loan in 2006, and I kept insisting I did not. Then my husband took the phone and told her we will sue her "company." She told him, "You're dead if you don't pay me." and hung up on him.
