I received a message on my answering machine that my name was drawn for the 2012 Ford Explorer $25,000 instant win. I returned the call and spoke to a very very rude person named Crystal. She wanted to update a form I had supposedly filled out and when she got to the part that wanted to know my income, I ask her if it was a timeshare and she told me no, but my husband and I had to attend a 90 minute presentation and at the end of the presentation, we were guaranteed to receive a vehicle, trip or tv. I told her I was not interested in attending a presentation and she immediately become very rude and told me not to be filling out these forms if I did not want to attend a presentation because it was time consuming for them. I explained to her that if I had filled out a form, it was on the internet and thought it was a sweepstakes and did not see anything where I would have to attend any kind of presentation. She again was rude and told me it was on the form I filled out that I had to attend a presentation and I told her I did not see anything like that. She became more pushy and rude and then hung up on me. I would like to know where she was calling from. It was for a presentation in Banner Elk, Nc and I would like to call whoever she works for and tell them how I was treated. I think she should be fired. My mother had recently had a severe stroke and I have been staying with her at a rehabilitation center every night and do not need to put up with this type of rudeness.

Ditto to the message above regarding that woman's experience.  Again, Crystal, very rude person, tried to tell me my husband had won a prize, wanted to speak to him.  I took down her number and called him, then referenced this number on the web.  Do not mess with this.  If you had won a prize, then no with this mannerism and rudeness should be calling you.

    unsure what to do

Received call from Crystal; very nice, but I am still antsy about going.  I know they will do a timeshare presentation, but there's no way we will buy - we cannot!  They insist we will either get $25000, a trip to Florida or a TV.  Also talked about a grand prize (Ford Explorer).  Is it worth the time and hassle???  Any advice?

Nobody really gets any "prize" except the "trip", and it will come with so many restrictions and additional costs that it will be useless. These things amount to torture with no upside, it's worse than a waste of time. Nothing of any value is EVER marketed like this, and if you really expect something for nothing from these crooks, well, good luck.

Thanks!! I was leaning toward not going, so you helped me out--my common sense told me what to do, I just needed confirmation!! Have a great day -

This Telemarketer (Crystal) was rude and hung up on me when I kept asking her questions about my so called prize.  Though claiming to ask me nothing personal, she asked about income at which point I told her that was personal.  She said she'd give my prize to my neighbor.  Ha!   At that point she hung up on me.  I figured it was something like that--trying to sell timeshares.  And...I do not remember ever filling out the contest form she mentioned to me.  I am on the Do Not Call list.  Isn't this illegal to pretend to be someone reporting a contest prize but you are actually a telemarketer?  Kobie  And she basically refused to tell what company she was working for.  Someone needs to track this down and close this scam.
