Got 2 calls from this #.. was not home.. any idea??

I have also received several calls from 888-279-5762. The message said they were from Titan Management Services.

these people called said someone was using my social security number.  I called the police who told me to get more info from them. When I returned the call to the number they left for me 888-279-5762 (Lamont) they had no info on me even though they called me. Insisted on getting my social security number. This is a Scam do no do it!

They keep calling.  They said they are Titan Management and won't say what their business is.  They asked for my husband's last 4 digits of his social.  I wouldn't give it to them...so  they said that they had it and read off four numbers that were NOT his.  I told them twice to stop calling and they keep calling.  Must be a bill collector calling the wrong person here.

I was at home when they call so I decided to pick up. It was an recorded message and said this message is for Mary and to call back at XXX. Well my name is not Mary.. Not sure how they got my # :(

Grrrrr still calling.. I have filed an copmplaint.. How long does it take for it to go through

So far I have received two voice messages on my cell from this number.  The first was a male automated voice and the second was a female automated voice.  They both said that they were from Titan Management and it was a "courtesy" call for Damon Miller and to call back at 888-279-5763 etc. etc. etc.

I figure this is some scam, so I have not called them to tell them I'n not Damon Miller....

A guy name "Michael" got my cell phone number and later went to AT&T (Cingular at the time) and ordered two new phones under my cell phone insurance.  I didn't know anything about it until I received a bill for the deductables.  AT&T took off the charge once they learned it was a scam. Apparently "Michael" also used my cell number on some fradulant credit cards and ran up an $8,000.00 bill. I set a security code on my cell phone account and have had no further problems.  But, the collection agencies keep calling my cell phone looking for "Michael"  No matter what I tell them they just keep calling.  It seems like "Michael's" case just keeps getting passed around to new collection agents and the phone calls start all over again.  I've written letters and the calls continue.
