I just got a call from them, too, with a reference number. I just called back right now, and it was about a debt that I had supposedly owed. It was from NCO Financial Systems... or something like that. I told the woman to quit calling me.

They keep calling....Not for sure what they want...they never answer my return calls. I believe it has to do with a medical bill that I was in dispute with with the lab and finally they ruled in my favor. Don't know why I would still be getting calls about this...

They (NCO Financial) call almost every day leaving a reference number and asking for a call back concerning an attempt to collect a debt.  They never say who owes the debt, and I certainly don't owe them or anyone else.  I just ignore the call and never call back.  They have been calling for at least a year.  I will now file a formal complaint with the FTC.  We have been on the "Do Not Call" registry for a long time.

Got the same call. We don't have any oustaning debt so assuming is a scam or they're trying to contact someone else.

Called me then wanted me to verify who I was to them.  When I wouldnt until they told me what it was about they wouldnt talk to me.  Said I would have to deal with it on my report.  I said cool, get after it!

NCO is a company that buys debts that have not been paid and for the majority of the time are about to fall off of ones credit so they are attempting to get money from whomever they can regaurding the debt before it does so. I have a friend at work that has also delt with this matter and they went as far as to tell them that they would contact the IRS...it was not a federal debt so why would the IRS care? Idiots!! They won't stop calling me either. They will not stop, unless of course you block the number.

They were trying to collect a medical debt from me. I am aware of the situation, so it isn't a totally fabricated debt; it's just one that I don't owe.

these tick turds call my phone all day long!! frst they call you from a  local number, if you don't answer they call right back from a toll free number. they want my soc cause i owe somebody money. i said if i owe someone money which i don't you'll haev all my information soc, name, address, and so on. they this little man who i can barelt understand i guess gets mad..like i really care.. siaid something smart..i told him to get the information since he claims its me he looking for and call back,,in the mean time dont call me correspond with my by mail...then he says what's your address??? SCAM

They called my business phone, lmtc and and an ID#.  SO BOGUS. Don't waste your time calling them.
They do not even know your name.

As stated;
Fly-by-night credit vampires.  Won't provide proof of being bonded to collect, so no obligation to deal with them.  Just set up a "group" on your cellphone and save all the debt-collector  phone numbers into it, then you'll know who is calling and just ignore the calls.  ;)
