They called my job asking for me. Her name was agent Waltower. Stated something about a law suit. When i called the number back, I got the voicemail for the agent at a cohen, shore, and associates.  I havent been served any papers and I'm not suing nor is anyone suing me.  The number was 888-286-3470

Just got home and had a message on my machine from "Amom"?  at 888-286-3470 x 309 with a reference number.   Said she just needed some information.   I am NOT going to call!

I took out a pay day loan.  I paid it off and have the final proof of receipt.  I have sent it a couple of times to this agency.  At the same time I took out this loan for me, I had my identity stolen.  I filed a report and have copies of that as well.  I have repeatedly told Mrs. Jones to not contact my work.  SHE KEEPS CALLING.  This is in direct violation of The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act was passed in 1977 to protect consumers from abusive debt collectors.

She will not send me any papers to my home address.  She has threatened me with a lawsuit.  I told her to go ahead and take me to court because I have the proof of payment from the company I took out the loan with and the police reports!

they called my job looking for me. Her name was Ms. Marshal and she's with Investigating Services of Colleen Swartz and the caller ID showed that it was located in Georgia. Now she stated I knew exactly what this call was in referenced too.. NO I DO NOT! She didn't leave a message exactly but stated her extensions to be 304. Not calling them back!

This Miss Marshall called my home looking for my son and left a message stating she left numerous messages about something (we don't know) on his cell phone about this matter. Funny thing is my sons voice mail has never been set up for at least a year, so how could this person leave him messages. She was demanding payment and wanted his account number at his bank and wanted to know what days she could start taking money out! She never said her first name and never told me who she represented. From the messages I've seen, I am not dealing with this person. She doesn't sound legit and I think it's a scam.

This number call my home "Agent Anthony" ext 338 said he could only talk to my daughter who's husband was in a sever accident and survived. He was being a jerk, big headed, and I made sure I was recording the call. Hopefully this will be the last time he calls.

My mother-in-law recieved a call from 888-286-3470 stating that they needed to speak with me. Left an extension number and everything on the machine. First I thought it might be the IRS and then I knew I hadn't done anything wrong...Then I did the reverse phone search and ended up at this site. I agree with everyone on here that this is a scam...I am NOT going to be giving them ANY type of personal information if they call back again...

These busters called my job with a nasty, attitude!  Investigator Mitchell is what she calls herself.  She had a real nasty attitude, and I think if you want some cooperation, then give folks the proper respect!
The phone number is 1-888-286-3470 ext. 820 or 1-770-239-6720. These people are rude and they use illegal tactics to try and collect money!  Hope you're able to sleep at night!

received this call yesterday and I had my husband listen in on my phone call and he started to go off on them and said he needed paperwork in the mail to verfiy everything and Mitchell said they can't they can only email, so my husband started to go off again, because that was of course BS. Well, they didn't want to listen to us so they hung up on us. Then we called them back to harrass them.

Today I called them and ask what is this all about and they gave me all my (old) info and went on to say I had by 1:30pm today with a debit card only to pay a down payment today or they will call my job and sermons me to court and let a judge decide whether I commited fraud. I made a few calls and all stated this was a scam. My question: If you owe someone money wouldn't they accept any source of payment. Give me your address so I can send a moneyorder certifed with a return receipt.

I agree and I have no problem paying someone I owe but why would they call someone job making threats. I DIDNT APPRECIATE IT AT ALL.

Just received a call from this number and the lady would not let me get a work in edgewise. She stated that they were sending the paperwork to my county offices. Tried calling back and only got the voicemail. This is a SCAM

i JUST RECIEVED A CALL FROM THIS COMPANY AND GAVE A CASE NUMBER AND CALLED THEMSELVES LEGAL SERVICES AND MENTIONED SOMETHING ABOUT A COURT NUMBER...i REFUSE TO CALL THEM BACK AND IF I AM BEING SUED THEN SEND ME PAPERS!!!!!!!!!!! DONT CALL ME WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They Just called my PARENTS number ! I havent lived there is YEARS and told them that I had a CRIMINAL LAWSUIT against me and needed to contact them ASAP..Scared my family to death... I called and got this very RUDE MAN Leonard Phillips ! I asked him why someone would called my family and say there was a Criminal Act being taking against me and he said "Thats Not quite what I said"...Then wanted to tell me that I owed a bill from 2006 and they have tried to contact me several time, Which they havent...I asked them to send me some paperwork stating all of this and I would look it over and reply back..HE TOLD ME, I had 2 hours to pay up and give him MY DEBIT CARD or he was going to send it to my counties office! First of all I will not give my credit card to ANYONE..He REFUSED to Send me paperwork and just READING SOME DARN SCRIPT!!!! I finally said have a good day and hung up!!! Dont you DARE THREATEN ME!!! Go ahead and send to my "counties Ofice" and I will SEE YOU IN COURT!!!!! With copies of ALL these harrassing comments on here and names of people who so call work there....

I made a few calls and all stated this was a scam. Why are you calling me with totally incorrect information and why do you need only a credit or debit card. Give me an address and I'll send you a cashier's check or money orderyt. The account info they had was 15 years old and a closed account.

First of all, you should put a block on your phone especially if you use a cell phone because you don't need to use up your minutes on this garbage.  Secondly, I did contact my state attorney general's office since the person who contacted me said I was in default on a payday loan and they would be sending this to check  enforcement in my state.  The AG's offfice not only told me they won't enforce payday loan defaults even if they are legitimate and, secondly, that they are currently busily looking into this scam (her words, not mine) and any information as to phone numbers, etc. would be appreciated.  

These people are employed by a collection agency and only want to get your money in any way they can even if that means lying to do so.  My big alert was when this guy said I needed to get hundreds of dollars to him within an hour!!  Yeah, I may have been born at night but it wasn't LAST night.  Don't waste your time even speaking to these people and don't answer numbers calling your phone that you don't recognize.  If it's someone who actually need to get in touch with you, you'll get a voicemail and can return the call but realize that this "company" has offices throughout the country and call from a variety of different states, so just be aware they will do this and block every number you find out is from them.  If you want to make sure, simply use *67 and then dial the number since they can't trace it back to you and find out the company's name.  The Cohen, Schwartz and Assoc. guise is just a trick by the collection agency.  Trust me, you won't be receiving any legal papers.  It isn't worth a real law firm's time and expense to go after these small amounts.
