800notes is not affiliated with your callers, we are not calling you either. 800notes is a forum for reporting who calls you and any information you may have about the call to share with other forum users. It is highly doubtful that your callers are reading here also. We can't stop anyone from calling you either or remove from a list.

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

You are wrong.  It's not AT&T.  They are not calling you because you forgot to pay your bill.  They are calling to get your 4-digit pin and other information that will give them access to your account.

Guy called me today and ATT number showed on our display.  Guy had a very strong accent.  He wanted to know if I had Direct TV and when I said yes he wanted to know how I liked it.  I told him I was not happy because it went out every time the wind blows and he hung up on me.

Called asking for me. I don’t owe any past due bills and don’t usually answer unknown callers. I said no she’s not here can I leave a message.  The man said “no I’m her boyfriend I’ll just call back”.  I’m married and never have I cheated on my husband or dated an Middle eastern man so if u see this number don’t bother answering, just block it right away.

Be careful with calls from 1-888-288-2020, already reported it to AT&T. It is very similar to the AT&T customer service number (1-800-288-2020). They call you offering a discount in your monthly bill for 24 months while also adding all premium channels for the same period. They had my address and they knew I was an AT&T customer. They say that the only thing you have to do is pay 3 months in advance and keep asking if you are able to do that, then mention that you don't have to pay anything to them during that call. They offer to generate a code for you to call the billing department of AT&T before today's deadline. Finally before generating the code they warn you that this is an EBAY promotion, that EBAY pays for the discounted part, so you have to go and buy a $300 EBAY card and call the number 1-888-488-6818 ext 1 to pay using that EBAY card. They even will throw-in a $100 AT&T Visa card to be delivered in TWO DAYS. People, be careful and don't feed this scamming network. And AT&T please do something, these people know your clients and their information, at least they did in my case.

AT&T's number is 800-288-2020, not 888.

Did not recognize number, did not answer. No message left. This has to be the AT & T scammer I read about.

Categorized by AT&T as "Spam Risk." At first glance it appears to actually be AT&T, but AT&T's number begins with 800, not 888.

Called cell. Did not answer. Left no message.

Got a call and did not answer.  My corded phone had the 888 number on, but my cordless phone showed 800, which is AI&T's number.  How did that happen?  If I were an AT&T customer, I would have answered from the cordless.  One must be very careful..

This just happened to me glad I called DirectTV instead of the number they provided me. Sad part I’m stuk with $300 on eBay gift cards. 😕

The caller offers a good deal on ATT/Directv internet and tv - must pay $300 upfront for first 3 months with an Ebay card...SCAM!!! DON'T FALL FOR IT

It’s 2022 and I fell for this scam. AT&T has still not addressed the problem.
