This was a telemarketing voicemail message from Direct Energy promoting the energy plan I already have with them.

Hung up when I answered

Have called me more than 5 times. Whenever I've answered no one talks and if I let it go to voicemail they leave no message.

They hang up when I answer and leave no voicemail if I don't. I have received multiple calls for the last two weeks. Please stop this!

No voice mail was left.  I am a new Direct Energy suscriber though.

Direct energy. Did not leave a vm. I googled the phone # and turned up results in TX. I live in OH.

I bought a new car and got the trial offer which is up tomorrow. I renewed it on Sat online. As I was looking this number up, I got another call so I answered it. It was XM wanting to tell me about their offers to renew. I told her I had and asked her politely put it in their system to not call me again until I need to renew in 3 years. Hopefully that worked because I am sick and tired of geting their calls. They are usually during the day while I am at work and they leave messages just saying my name. I really wanted to tell this woman to also put it in the system that an answering machine just takes messages and will not answer any questions or say this is she.  But I was nice. Hopefully!!!!!!
Since I have concluded my business with them, do they have a right to continue to call?

I started getting calls from this number.  I live in CA.  I've never dealt with Direct Energy before.  I'm not their customer, my number is on the no not call list, so there's no established business relationship.  They should not be calling me.

Just bought a new car a month and a half ago. Have received at least a dozen telemarketer calls since then. I didn't answer but I think the poster above identifying the XM subscription call is right.

I just called that number and it IS direct energy.. What's weird though is that I've been getting calls from them ever since I bought my new car too. XM has called me a dozen time in 4 days!!!! I think something my be linked here.. I live in MI.. What kind of car did people buy? I bought a Chevrolet Cruze.

I bought a Chevy Camaro and have been getting calls from XM. Now this number is calling me as well. It is really annoying!

June 6, 2011   I just  got a missed call on my cell form this number,  I do not answer #'s on my cell I do not recognize and always look them up...  I just bought a new car also but mine was a Hyundai Elantra.  I have XM free for a few months so I am sure it's related to that FREE service with no obligation... other than annoying phone calls...

June 14,2011   I received a call from 888-305-3828 today on my cell phone, did not answer the call since I did not recognize the number. I am certain it was from XM radio. I purchased a new Hyundai Elantra in late May which gave me a free 3 month trial for XM. XM called my cell phone  twice yesterday from a 877-253-3846 number offering me a great 6 month rate. I told the gentleman that my wife drives the car and I would have to talk to her about signing up but they called me again later in the day! Very annoying to be hounded by sales calls I did not ask for.

Reading through all of these messages and with the knowledge I recently purchased a new Subaru Outback with Satelite Radio imbeded I conclude this.is Sirius XM calling me to renew my 3 month trial.  I'm a big fan of Satelite radio so I'm going see if I can weasel a deal as Satelite Radio is not going away anytime soon.  Wish me luck that I get the deal and they stop calling.  Ps.  If it is an American citizen calling it means they are working... This is good... Give them a little break.

Purchased a new Hyundai Elantra in May. Am sure it is XM wanting me to renew @ end of trial. On my cell & no message left. I reluctantly gave my cell phone # to auto salesperson. I do not give it out. He talked me into it - "I'll only call you if it is something important." Yeah right - he's never called me, but I've been getting calls from this # and others!!!

This number just called me, I live in Oklahoma.  I just purchased a new Hyundai last month.  I also have XM radio & have been getting their sales calls to renew as well (free trial still has 2 months left on it.)

Got a call from this number on 7/30/2011 at 3:22PM.  I could hear distant chatter in the background, then they hung up on me.  Callback went to Direct Energy.  

This makes no sense to me since Direct Energy has no presence in Iowa.
