Of all the people here who say it's a scam and just tossed it,  why doesn't anyone see fit to SUE these cheats?   The letter states (and yes, I got a letter, not a call.)  "we ask that you complete the brief survey that we have enclosed and return it."   It mentions NOTHING about a time share scam.   And yet complaints about this show up like a rash.  Rip off report, and the BBB (who gives this company an F rating.)  

So why aren't they being sued?    Send me a survey AND my free device or explain to a judge what this deceptive fraud is all about?    

People don't fight for your rights, and that's why this nonsense goes on and on.  

There aught to be a class action taken against this and any company who tries this deceptive nonsense.
It would stop then.

I got the letter and called the number. Spoke to Barbara Mendez. She asked me if I could go to a meeting that night, I said no. She set up appointment for tonight at 8 pm. She said she would send an email with details. I'm still waiting for the email. I really wanted to go, even knowing it was a scam. See I am a nurse, I make really decent money, but most importantly, I'm really good at saying "no". I don't need the android tablet, I already have a laptop and an iPad. But for some reason, I like the challenge. Oh we'll...if I do end up going, I will come back and post what happens.

I got same letter, called and spoke to Andrea Harris. She seemed very nice, read from a very  long script and later sent me the email. I kept having this nagging feeling that something just did seem right with the whole scenario. Why would I need an appointment to secure my seat? If I did not have to buy anything, why was my income level relevant? Why must I bring my husband or "significant other" with me? Hmmm...

II do not blame the telemarketers...it's just a job for them. The BBB has many complaints on record. It seems this outfit changes name and/or address to perpetuate the deception.

THIS IS A FOOL'S ERRAND, in case you are tempted to "participate in (their) marketing study and promotion."

We also got scammed, we went to the presentation  also for vacations and we never received our gift for the android tablet computer what a rip off, waste of time and gas and gift.  Won't fall for that one again.  What a rip off.

jan.7 2013  receive letter today. So the new year still has scamers. I did not  call,  you can not rec. something for  free that is of any value. Only junk is free.

Run and Run Fast, Scam at Worst, Unethical business practices at best.

Letter States "You are under NO OBLIGATION to pay, purchase or subscribe to anything to receive your tablet. There is no cost for shipping and handling."

When you call "T.J. JOHNSON and ASSOCIATES" at 888-312-6280 and give them your "Package Code" you get a "canned" almost robotically read speech requiring your attendance at a 90 minute seminar to get a voucher, you then must timely submit this voucher back to them, now the  "wait"  "jump thru hoops" game starts to get your promised tablet.  Even if you do EVERYTHING ASKED you will probably never see the tablet or find the time invested trying to get your "not so free tablet" far exceeded the products value.  The first sign of "bait and switch", their  written "no obligation" promise doesn't align with their actual requirements and actions.  SERIOUS RED FLAG.  Logically if someone does elect to sit through the seminar why isn't the tablet given to them when they leave?  JOHNSON, GLOBAL TRAVEL or whoever the real entity is  would save tablet postage, certificate mailing cost, thousand of internal man hours for processing and all the phone/e-mail responses/inquiries they fend off.  Let us say those costs are, being extremely conservative, $5.00 per tablet transaction and they get 500,000 people to listen to their "dog and pony show" over the last 3 years.  That would be a 2.5 million dollar savings for just handing the tablet to the people as they left the seminar.  A prudent business minded company that were truly interested in business would know that and jump at the savings.

Your best bet is to ignore/trash this "not so free" offer completely. Telephone *67 gives you NO PROTECTION what so ever, toll free numbers are exempt.  You want guaranteed protection then DO NOT CALL, DO NOT RESPOND to this scam.   When you call they, the scammers, have your number and the ability to SELL it to the next SCAMMER, that's where the big bucks lie and they recoup their costs 10 fold.  Give your E-Mail and at best you get junk mail at worst a professional hacker trying to get into your computer.  Submit a copy of your driver license, they now have your license number, this and the internet will yield them your SS number if they really want it.  If you give/gave them your SS# directly then shame on you go start your professional identity protection RIGHT NOW.

Extensive research on people who finally did receive tablets showed the tablet had large memory but only about a quarter available for the user.  What built in programs or Trojans have they pre installed?  Why is all that excess memory not accessible for your use?  You connect this tablet to your home/business Wi-Fi and you are on the WRONG side of the firewall protection thus they could have free and easy access to all your personal files.  Is a $50.00 tablet worth all this risk?  If you must still "test the waters", at least learn how to wipe the tablet COMPLETELY clean and reload it properly.  Good Luck.

It is amazing the players stay the same only the names seem to change, maybe this time they will dump this player for good.
