Hi! Yes I got a call today from that same number said they where going to send out legal papers tomorrow..Not sure what this is about. Do You???

they are not going to send out "legal papers", this is a false  threat. They are not going to sue you. they cannot "arrest" you.  they are probably trying to collect on payday loan debt and are using false threats to get you to pay.  This is just a debt collection agency that is violating the FDCPA.  when they call, tell them to MAIL YOU (not email) verification of the original debt (they must within 30 days as per the FDCPA). if they will not do so, this is a big red flag. If they will not tell you the company name and location this is also a violation. Do not pay them unless they can verify that they do actually have ownership of the debt and that it is a valid debt. and also to verify the actual amount of the debt.  they will arbitrarily add hundreds to the actual amount to try to collect more, then try to come down to a "settlement amount"....if it is a payday loan, see your state requires them to be licensed to even do business in your state. they probably are not. Also, see if payday  loans are even legal in your state. many states they are not, meaning they couldn't sue you if they wanted to , which they can't because they ARE NOT a lawfirm.  all they can do is call and harass people.. ... file a written complaint if they violate the FDCPA with the Attorney General's office of the state they tell you they are in (which is probably New York) .
