Having problems with computer. Flashes on screen that I had a virus so I called the number and they "cleaned" my computer. Still trying to resolve issues.

One of the issues you likely need to resolve immediately is that all your personal information is at risk including user names and password to online financial accounts.  Since they may have installed spyware, you will need a different computer or device to change all your passwords. You should probably call your credit card companies and bank to alert them to potential fraud.

For your computer you will need to get a good malware cleaning program and ensure your computer is not compromised. You may be able to use System Restore to reset everything to a time prior to them accessing your computer.  Or you may need to take it to a local reputable repair center to have them clean it and ensure nothing that does not belong there is installed.

This is a scam. My client called and paid for their services believing it was Microsoft. Problem came back up today approximately 3 months since last infection. He called again and required payment again. He refused this time and they hung up on him. Now his computer is trashed and I can't find a manual fix or a patch.
