United Healthcare trying to explain what benefits your health insurance policy entitles you too.

Caller I.D. showed a different number-  678 area code. Message was left to call 888-315-7524 for UnitedHealthcare continued care options. When I called they asked for my name, date of birth and ssn#, I replied I can give them my policy number, they stated they couldn't look me up in their system by name, phone number, address, date of birth and policy number. They insisted on SSN. The original number they called from showed as scammers. I am very reluctant to give out SSN due to scammers and I find it very hard to believe that they could not look up my information given the fact that the policy number in itself should have sufficed. I had no way of confirming that I was talking to UnitedHealthcare

Same thing for me except I wont bother calling them back thanks to your info.

Got a call from 678 area code leaving me a message to call back to this 888 number.  Caller said she was a "Registered Nurse with United Health Care". and left no name. Called back and got a realistic sounding UHC answering message.  Still hesitant to give info.  I called number on back of my UHC card and person answering told mt that this number is a scam.  Will always call customer number on card first when I get a phone message.

Got a call from 6782032196 Stating they are a registered nurse from the railroad plan and needing to speak to them. Left no name or who they wanted to speak to. Was told to call 8883157524. No name was given when they answer just that they were a registered nurse and needed my name, date of Birth and then when SSN was asked for I just hung up! No way am I giving that info out. Big Fat SCAM!!

Called three times and asked for their supervisor. They said none was available. Funny. When you call, goes directly to person. No Greeting like actual Line.
