Just got a call from a woman named Lisa Johnson saying she was a fraud investigator. After searching all over this site I found that this company has been calling many others threatening them with an arrest warrant. I just wanted to give an update for the new number that they are using now. Sounds like it's a giant scam!

I got a call from a Lisa Johnson at this number on September 10. As did a family member in  another state. I spoke to this Lisa who in fact was polite enough and made no threats when I refused to make good on my alleged bad check.

    Curious
Got a call from Sandra Ford a fraud investigator from Grand (Graham) Madison, she left a message on my answering machine. She was looking for a woman (whose name she stated) for writing a bad check using her social security number and if she did not call back there would be a warrant issued for her arrest.  I called her back and told her there was no such person at the number she left the message at and she simply said ok just forget it.  That made me very curious so I googled the number and came up with other people who have had the same experience.  I plan to communicate the info to the authorities.

Got a similar call. Contact your state attorney general. What concerns me the most is that she had my SS# and a copy of a check I wrote 8 years ago. Very scary!

You can check that with your bank, it should be on file with them!  A copy isn't good enough for me, if they had the original, it might still be questionable even then for forgery. But a copy? Hello! That should have passed through and been cashed 8 years ago and if it didn't (bounced), then you should have been contacted by the bank and the responsible party it was issued to within a very short time to resolve the matter..  As ROT, checks are not valid after 6 month's.   The onus is on them at 6 mos to get it replaced if they hung onto it for too long. State statues also apply!

No reason to be scared, banks are required to give identifiers such as SSN and DOB to merchants who have been defrauded by worthless checks.Had your check been honored Jen,the bank wouldn't have had to do so. Had you resolved this years ago,you wouldn't be getting contacted. What is scary,is the entitled attitude of those who defraud merchants with worthless checks and then refuse to ake good on their obligations.

Clearly you've never heard of statutes of limitations on debt, nor the FDCPA.  Shill.

What is scary is so many shills trying to fraud folks that have no regards for any laws..

There's always the possibility also that the copied check is forged as well. Not to mention the statues and laws as has already been pointed out!

I reserve the right to protect myself from fraudulent claims, same as everyone in the US. Thats not entitled attitude, thats called our constitutional rights and bill of rights..

Just another shill who thinks everyone is a automatic debtor and they are right when in fact they are breaking the laws themselves..  In no way can any shill justify themselves for that.  Thats the true fraud..

Roman Matthews called my grandmother threatening a criminal arrest warrant if my mother didn't repay an alleged "bad check." This had my whole family worried.  After reading these posts, I now know it's a scam.

Not affiliated with any company, just a small biz owner who was scammed by bad checks in the past.Hone up on your reading comprehension skills the poster said "A check I wrote 8 years ago". Obviously she wrote it.People  who write bad checks are scammers, espescially if after 8 years you did nothing to right it.
