Just got a garbled computer call telling me to call this number. Machine message (from number 864-642-4119) said. "This is the New Security Bank Department" Your card has been deactivated due to (garbled). Call 888-317-3089 to reactivate. When you call that number, you get a computer voice saying "Press one if you want to reactivate your debit card". (nothing else). Touching any number will give you "Please enter your bank account number". And that's it. If you try to hit the operator "O" or # key - it just disconnects.

i too recievev rhe exact same phone cal l  i think it is a scam someeone is pullin to get information  but  i didnt fall for it and you didnt either so  thanks for sharing  your experience  and maybe others will read this too

I don't have any Cedit Union accounts, but I received an e-mail which said the following:

"Dear customer,
Chesterfield Federal Credit Union temporarily suspended your account.
Reason: Billing failure.

We require you to complete an account update so we can unlock your account.
You must reactivate your account immediately, or you won't be able to use your cards again.
To start the update process call us now on our service number : (888) 317-3089
Once you have completed the update, we will send you an email notifying that your account is available again.
After that you can access your account at any time.
The information provided will be treated in confidence and stored in our secure database.
If you fail to provide information about your account you ll discover that your account has been automatically deleted from CFCU database.
