called twice today, after 5pm and 7pm.
thanks to poster above, we have a safelink phone.

Friday, July 24, 2009,  they have called 4-times by 7:00 p.m., CDT.
I'm sick of all these none identifiable calls that get passed
as okay by 'Do Not Call Register'.

This is from SAFELINK for those that have the wireless "Lifeline" Tracfone. The calls are for pre-recorded bonus minute offers so if you have one of these phones, it's in your interest to answer it!

I received one of these free phones too as Im on a disability & received the same call on our land phone. At the web site for the free phones, its says the government will not double your free minutes if you buy a double minutes tracfone air card to add to it. Im wondering now if tracfone themselves are not trying to cash in & promote the purchase of the additional double air time cards to be used along with your tracfone free minutes ?

Safeline isn't providing these phones for free. The US taxpayers are. This is a government program, and they just administer it (and make more of our tax dollars by doing so).

got a call on 8-10-12 at 7:15pm - we don't answer calls that we don't know, so don't know who or what this org. is for. we pay for a private phone so how do the #@$#%^#%$ idiots get our # and annoy us with unwanted calls? Nevermind, this was from TRACFONE. I do have Tracfone but it's one I pay for, it's not thru safelink.
It was a recorded message with a "health and wellness tip" wth?! ugh

Btw, you can call 888-317-4436 to have your name removed from these prerecorded calls.

Tracfone uses this line to robocall you and give you uninvited "advice" and "tips". Another number to throw onto the bozo-list.

TRACFONE number. Purveyor of prepaid cellphone services: TracFone; Net10; Straight Talk; SafeLinkWireless; and MySimpleMobile.  They offer a service for a reminder call to an alternate number that provides you with additional information about uses for your cellphone, etc.  I provide prepaid phones from Tracfone to family members, so  I requested this service. I get this call as a reminder that it's time to purchase new minutes. It's true, if you don't want them to call you call them to have your number removed from this service.  I just wish they list their name on the CallerID.  It would make it easier to decide when to answer and when to block a number.

This company has called twice this evening within 2 hours.  I do not answer, so the phone rings  and rings

If it's Tracfone (and I'm not doubting that it is) then why are they calling my land line?  Why don't they call one of the three Tracfones that my husband and I have???

Some medical business is providing our phone numbers and addresses to tracphone as well as other "disability" related companines including hovaround and the scooted store.  I am neither a senior citizen or disabled, yet I started getting both mail and phone calls trying to solocit my business.  Sure would like to know what medical company is selling my information!

Update - now they want me to buy text alert.  Think Texas Oncology may be providing our phone numbers to telemarketers.  Would like to know if it is company wide, or just the Ft. Worth, Arlington TX area.  Any info would be helpful.  Thanks!
