888-317-5911 calls my cell phone a few times a day and no one is there when I answer the phone

Gemma Communications calling on behalf of Sears Canada.

yup.. Gemma communications.  Said he was trying to sell me manulife insurance????

I asked if he was a telemarketer, dodged the question..

Kept trying to confirm my first name, told him if he was calling me he should know it.

Told him to remove me from his calling list, but he informed me that I would need to call (866)580-3625 to be added to the international do not call list, as they cannot do it on my behalf.

I hate these calls, 888-317-5911 calls me at least once a week and no one is there when I answer the phone.

They never answer the phone or leave a message.  Makes me think they get paid for the number of calls they make, regardless of the results.  Which means they will never end!  Ahhhh.....the joys of technology!

called today, they hung up immediately upon me answering

I have received 2 calls from this number.  One on Feb 10th & one today (Feb 17th).  No message left in either case.  Call Display just shows UNAVAILABLE / Long Distance.

been callinmy mobile for days on end at the same time. I don't answer but i'm tempted to tell them to bug off.

Well I've now received 7 phone calls from them between Feb 10th & Feb 27th.  The all seem to be in the afternoon my time (between 1:00 & 4:00 pm MST).

Can you imagine being so pathetic that you're only real chance in life is to be one of the scumbags behind these schemes?

Called April 3rd, 2010 at 1540 local MDT. No one answered when I said, 'Hello' twice, heard the 'click' from when the call goes from auto generated to the operator, that was when I hung up. So much for being registered on the government 'do not call' list.

I called the number back and there was an automated method of removing my number from their calling list.  They claim it will be processed in 24 hours... I guess I'll have to wait and see.

they call.. and when u answer nothing.. they don't lv a msg .. calls everyday and it's annoying.

Same with here but if you call back they give you an option to be removed from their list.  I guess I'll have to wait 24 hours now to see if I get removed.

Used *67 to block my number before calling the 1-888 number.  When I asked for my number to be removed, it recognised the number I was calling from even though I used the *67 prefix.  So much for the *67 function.

i'm up to eleven calls now.  around the same time.  from unknown caller.  i think these people just need a hug.
