A recorded message was received  from computer robot claiming to be Social Security, and threatening legal proceeding if the call wasn't returned to 888-317-6979.

I received the same call with the same message. when the number was called in return there were no identifying statements- only comments like, "press 0 to speak to a representative." If it were SS then certainly they would say so when you called.

... "when you get this message kindly revert" -- Hoo-boy!

"This is Officer William Parker calling you from the Department of Social Security Administration the reason you have received this phone call from our department is to inform you that there is a legal enforcement action filed on your social security number for criminal activities so when you get this message kindly revert as soon as possible on our number that is 888317697 I repeat 888-317-6979 before we begin with the legal proceedings Thank you."

Officer Kevin Smith claiming I was in trouble, I gave him a fake name. He asked for the last 4 of my SSN I told him 6666 and he got angry that I wasted his time trying to scam me and hung up.

They are calling saying energy bill is past due they are fake and hang up when you start asking them questions

1 888 317 7345 called me. Automated service stated a breech in my iCloud acct. Wanted me to jump on home computer to access my IP address.
