    When you apply for a cash advance loan with an accredited company and they decline your loan, they send your application to a network of lenders. Your ONE application could result in calls and emails from 30 or 40 lenders, star cash being just one of them.
    My Advice, if you are going to get a cash advance loan, read the fineprint. If it states that "if your loan is not approved your application will be forwarded to one of our partner companies: or words to that effect - back out.
    Go with PayDayOne or CashDirectExpress as they don't do this.

    If StarCash Call, answer it. Tell them you are not interested and to remove your application from their database. Then watch your accounts carefully.

    Internet lending:

    Using the Internet to borrow money increases the possibility of harm to the borrower.

    Internet lenders are generally not  physically located in the borrower’s state and often aren’t even based  in the U.S.

    They may lend over the Internet in order to avoid the protections of applicable state laws and to make it virtually impossible for the borrower or any government agency to find them.

    In addition, borrowing over the Internet increases the chances of identity theft and other privacy violations.

    High cost payday loans are illegal in 16 states.  As of the end of 2008, the following states outlaw these very expensive loans:
        Arizona
        Arkansas
        Connecticut
        Georgia
        Maine
        Maryland
        Massachusetts
        New Hampshire
        New Jersey
        New York
        North Carolina
        Ohio
        Oregon
        Pennsylvania
        Vermont
        West Virginia
    Payday loans are also illegal in the District of Columbia, the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
    In addition, Congress banned payday lending to service members and their families.

    West Virginia Sues Eight Payday Lenders
    Firms charged with using Internet to circumvent state law
    August 24, 2010

    West Virginia is one of a handful of states that have banned payday loans. So when lenders use the Internet to do business with residents of that state, the state's attorney general goes to court.
    West Virginia Attorney Darrell McGraw has filed suit, asking the Court to order the eight companies, which have refused to cooperate with his investigation, to surrender the records of their West Virginia-based accounts and to halt lending activities in the state.
    Payday loans are high-interest loans or cash advances with interest rates that reach as high as 600-to-800 percent APR. The loans, typically made for 14 days, are secured by a post-dated check or an agreement authorizing electronic debits from the consumer's checking account.
    "When a company sets foot in West Virginia, whether in person or over the Internet, my office has a duty to ensure the enterprise complies with state law," McGraw said. "Any company that makes payday loans must halt its usurious business and produce records identifying its victims."
    The companies and principals sued by Attorney General McGraw's office are:
    • Payday Loan Resource Center LLC and Moe Tassoudi of Scottsdale, AZ;
    • DirectROI d/b/a Cash West Payday Loans and Mike Brewster of Chandler, AZ;
    • First American Credit;
    • LoanPointe LLC, Joe E. Strom, Benjamin J. Lonsdale, James C. Endicott and Mark S. Lofgren of Highland, UT;
    • Eastbrook LLC d/b/a Ecash and GeteCash of Provo, UT;
    • National Title Loans d/b/a National Cash 12 of Elsmere, DE;
    • Payday Financial LLC d/b/a www.LakotaCash.com and Martin Webb of Timber Lake, SD;
    • Payday Loans-ACH d/b/a www.ACHLoans.com of Emeryville, CA.
    End run
    McGraw says Payday Loan Resource Center attempts to circumvent state law by charging West Virginia customers a monthly fee to help them obtain Internet payday loans. A suit filed earlier this year by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) charged Ecash and GeteCash with attempting to garnish wages without a court order. Lakota Cash claims to be an Indian tribe and therefore not subject to the laws of any state.
    Since McGraw began investigating the industry in 2005, his office has reached settlements with 107 Internet payday lenders and their collection agencies, resulting in $2,452,979.87 in refunds and canceled debts for 8044 West Virginians.
    "Payday loans are predatory traps for the many West Virginians facing difficult times," McGraw said. "We will continue to ask the courts to intervene whenever companies refuse to cooperate with our efforts to protect West Virginia citizens."

    Sikly
    I had did a payday loan online, but I never followed through on any of them by submitting a signed contract.  One day I decided to check my checking account and seen that it was a deposit of 350.00.  I looked even closer and it was a withdraw of a 105.00.  So I decided to call starcash processing and they argue with me that I had autherized the loan.  Thay also said that they had emailed me to let me know of this transaction.  I never received any email from this company or any phone calls asking me if I evan wanted this loan.  I had tried several attempts to resolve it with this company but more or less they said that I was stuck with this loan and the interest.  I had asked to speak to a manager or a supervior, and they told me that they would have to put in a request for either to call me back.  They also said that they tried to call me but the they had was disconnected.  I tried for at least three week to resolve this issue and nothing was resolved.  Starcastprocessing, even told me to file a fraud statement with the local police company.  But how can you file a fraud statement when it's the company that did the fraud!
    After calling star cash processing 20 times, they have emailed me a application that I was suppose to sign (another fraud on their behalf)

He is obnocious and threating with lawsuits and such. The FBI and local athorities should nail him to the wall. I have his home address and real name.His last name Trejos from Victorville, Ca. I've gotten 25 phone calls this morning stating that he will come and have me arrested. First of all, he can't do that. He's from California. I don't think he would spend almost $1000. to fly here just for that. He will sound very convincing. You can't hardly understand him when he gets worked up over this. This causes him to talk really fast, then you can't understand him. They also have 2 or 3 other locations in and around Los Angeles, Ca,  I thought about getting an air horn from the dollar store and blast him with it. I'm going to collect all the findings  I'm going to collect all the findings on this guy and turn it in to the authorities and the FBI.    Judy

    Go online to the Federal Trade Commission and file a complaint.
    Get the complaint confirmation number and then call them back and let them know that you are aware it is a fraud and that you have filed complaint #______with the federal trade commission and that they are to cease and desist.

    I received 78 calls in 2 hours and I called the FTC.  She told me it was a scam.  I called them back but blocked my number and let them know they had to cease immediately or they would be in trouble with the FTC and US Government and they told me they would remove my number and I have not been called since.
