- Peggysue| 1 replyReceive a call today, 9/13/17, from a male with a thick accent stating he was from AOL's identity theft unit. He had my AOL account number and stated the account was used to send messages to Russia. He provided two names, Thomas Dimitre and Nickoli _____ stating they had been arrested but stated I had to do something with my account. I told him I would originate a call to AOL myself and hung up. He did sound quite convincing.....I then check out the (888) 322-4242 number and my scam suspicions were confirmed.

To her the male caller says, "Namaste". This is a greeting in Hindi in India.
He asked for me.

Caller answers in Hindi - translated as "This is for your well being."
Wife tells him in Hindi, "we know how to take care of our well being - don't call again." Disconnected.- Caller: no caller id

- 2smart4uGot a call today from this number. When I answered, it was all static and I could barely make out what this woman was saying. I said "HELLO" loud, and she said her name, which I didn't remember, claiming she was with Dell technical support. I hung up before she had a chance to ask who I was, and give them any information. I do not own a Dell, by the way. You have to be careful. These scammers live in B.F., Egypt, and the feds will never catch them if they compromise your computer or bank account!
