- RBS| 1 replyRBS fraud department: I received a call message regarding my Master card transaction. Phone called for 1 888-333-0114 request to verify transaction. I did it and double checked with the phone number on the back of my Master card for emergency call or questions. Customer service verified 1 888-333-0114 as RBS fraud department phone number is correct and they did try to call me and I called back. So, all calls were recorded in RBS bank data base.
- Caller: RBS Master Card
- SleepyJay@E: You are on the first 3 Google sites about this number saying they are fraudulent. You couldn't be more WRONG. So I'll just cut and paste this into those sites like you did.
When calling them back, they know what recent transactions you've made--a fraudulent company wouldn't know this information. IOW, don't give info out to people who don't already know stuff.
After talking with them my credit card is being replaced (which I confirmed after a few days by looking at your account online).
I would agree that calling the number on the back of the card is better than calling some number left on your voice mail by someone you don't seem to know. But if you get this call, DO NOT ignore it. If you are getting this call, your credit card HAS BEEN DISABLED for purchases.
jason.- Caller: RBS (Mastercard) Anti-Fraud
- DrewkThis number is the real thing. It's a direct line to the anti-fraud department of RBS, a company that provides services for store-brand credit cards (in my case, Fred Meyer). I got the call because I was travelling, making charges in lots of places far from home, and they wanted to verify the transactions to confirm that the card wasn't stolen. Probably the card would have been blocked if I didn't call back within a day or so.
- Caller: RBS Card Services
- BTSRBS fraud department. Someone charged my CC in the amount of $6.99 at Cheaptickets.com and over $2,000 to TEVELEC.
RBS called me within minutes of this happening.- Caller: RBS Fraud department
- JSPI also had a $6.99 charge to cheaptickets, and a little over $2000 to some other place (sonicvideo maybe?) I wonder whose database got hacked into...
- Caller: RBS Fraud Dept
- KellyThis IS the direct line to the RBS fraud department. I received a call from this number. For security, I called the customer service number on the back of my RBS card. They transferred me to their fraud department which was aware of the problem discussed in the original phone call. Multiple fraudulent charges had been made beginning in the U.S. and moving on to Italy and Great Britain. This card is ONLY used on-line, and with very few customers, most of which are megagiants, so the suspect pool is small! Thanks RBS for catching this!
- Caller: RBS Fraud Department
- Lisa BThis number is accurate, I just verified.
- Kare Bear replies to RBSYes this is a real number from Citizen's Security Monitoring recent fraud purchases.
I had not used my card in quite sometime and somehow someone was able to obtain my credit card number and use it to some woman's clothing company online for $148.00 and the security from Citizen's declined the transaction as fraudulent!
Glad I called and have since cancelled the card since I do not use it and I will not be responsible for that charge as it was declined anyways!
Do not ignore this number I am glad I didn't! - EmmaI also just verified said number. I called the number on the back of the card but they told me the number is accurate and ended up transferring me there anyway.
- josephThis is a LEGITIMATE phone call from RBS Citizens Fraud dept. Do call this # if you get a message, someone has tried to use your MC account for charges. I cancelled my MC account that was stolen, and have a new card issued through the Fraud Dept for Citizens. At least they are doing their job !!!
- Caller: RBS Fraud Dept
- josephAlso, in addition to my posting above, called the regular Cust Service # for credit cards on the RBS Citizens website, as I was not sure at first if the Fraud Dept call was legit. The regular CC cust. service verified some transactions and also bogus transactions I had not made. Card was declined for several of them. Cancelled card, and issued a new card. Thanks to RBS Citizens for doing a good job.
- Caller: RBS Fraud Dept
- MBWThis is a legitimate number for Citizens bank fraud. For security purposes I chose to call the customer service number on the back of my credit card to inquire about the call. We had recently used the card and Citizens called to check on our transaction. They had all the proper data and confirmed the card use with follow up passcodes. Great customer service.
- Caller: Citizens Bank Card
- Call type: Valid
- LMTReceived a call from this number and my husband called back. They said they were RBS Citizens fraud department, and asked for the card number. My husband refused, and we instead called the phone number on the back of the card. The customer service person we spoke to gave a completely different number for Citizens fraud department, contacted them while he was on hold, and confirmed that there was NO suspicious activity found - nothing on any account was flagged. Everyone seems to agree this is legit, but always call the number on the back of you card.
- AL| 1 replyI am so glad that they called. I answered back since I thought it was a robot call.Someone in another state bouhgt under Best Buy $3,821 purchase in MN. it was declined, thanks to them. I don't know how the person(s) did this. I dont know who did. But I guess Citizens bank can get quickly to find out. My purchases are usually small. Thank you.

- Tygerkat replies to ALShill alert! Since you already know who called you, logically you would have no reason to look up the phone number so all I can conclude is that you're a shill for this caller.
