Rec'd a call from the above number at 10:54am Friday Oct. 12th.
No message / nothing.

"Hello, This is Citizens Bank. It is important that you call us back as soon as possible."  - This was a male voice. My name was never mentioned in the call and it was a recording. I have an account with Citizens so I called back. They asked for my SS#. I called Citizen's customer service immediately and they had no record of that number and commented that they NEVER ask for you full SS#. The call was received on my cellphone.

It's legit.  I got a call from 401-468-5596, and got the voicemail saying that I needed to call 1-888-333-4211.  I called, and it's Shitizen's collection department.  I refused to give my full SS# and they could pull up my account with my account number and verification of the last 4 digits of my SS#.  They had accurate account information and everything.

Missed call.  No message.  Upon calling back, it just gives a recording, "This call may be monitored and/or recorded.  Thank you for returning our call, someone will be with you shortly.  Pause . . . all representatives are currently . . . "

I got a call from this number, when I call back its a recording. Same thing, a female called to my cellphone  from Rhode Island, looking for Kevin Mitchel with regards to my account with Charter one bank, I was concern because its not my name. I think this is a hoax.  Be vigilant

Received same call today twice...Caller ID read : Rhode Island call 1-401-468-5596. It left same male voice message about calling the bank abount an urgent issue. I then called my bank through a known number and they have nothing on record as far as an issue with my account. This looks to be a scam.

i called back this number after they called me.  I was asked for a ssn# and refused to give it, i was then asked for m checking account number and last 4 of ssn# to pull up my account.  i gave it, and asked what "DDA" stood for?  the woman told me it was "demand deposit account" or in lay terms "checking account." turns out my account was actually overdrawn with charter one bank and the lady was able to put me on a payment plan to repay my balance and put a freeze on my account to stop the fees.  i am actually really glad i called back.  i asked about "citizens bank" and was told that it is also part of "RBS" which is a bigger bank that owns both companies.
