Just got a call from these scammers now "representing the "First National Bank"  (When asked of where" the marketer mentioned, "Utah".  They want to "help their veterans; was I aware of.... etc" I answered, that I was," and hung up. See below for similar scam using "Bank of Layton"  from the same phone number..


Telemarketing Scam:
First National Bank of Layton has recently received a number of complaints about
telemarketers broadcasting the caller ID number 877 333 - 0676  claiming to
represent the Bank, and inquiring about VA Loan or Credit Card applications.
Although this number has been used by the Bank in the past, these claims are
categorically FALSE.  Under no circumstance did these calls originate from First
National Bank of Layton or its representatives, and they are in no way
associated with the Bank. Upon learning of this activity, the Bank immediately discontinued
use of the phone number in question.  First National Bank of Layton is working with the authorities to determine who is behind this activity, and will continue to do so until they are brought to justice.

This same "HORSE'S ASS" & "HOG BREEDER", from Pakistan, called again today...no message!

Repeated calls from this number.  Identified as "First National Bank of Layton".  Person who answered said his name was "Mark DeLucca" and they wanted to let me know about the streamline program.  Informed him that I was on the Do Not Call List and wanted the calls to stop.  He said they scrubbed DNC numbers but apparently they don't.  Hopefully the calls will stop.

Number called, hung up shortly after I answered but I heard some foreign mumbo jumbo so I googled. Decided to call it back and a nice girl (Emily) answered. I said I'd just received a call from this number and she put me on hold. Scott Oldham, also nice, said it was probably a call from a loan officer who wanted to make sure we knew about the new streamline program. I told him I was not interested and would appreciate being removed from the list. He took my number (since I had called in) and said he'd pass it to his manager. We shall see...
They both sounded young and very American. :)

they called from 888-336-3476 and asked for my daughter, i did NOT give them any info, except told them that i was not the person they were asking for, when i asked who was calling they hung up, they have been calling for several days, i am going to report to attorney general and the bank

I just got a call from this number - they are probably accessing a specific call list from somewhere - my husband IS a Veteran but we stick to reliable sources for things such as this... so frustrating... get rid of them!

Have Received several calls daily, every single day this week on my business line.  I know it's not my customers so don't pick up and they don't leave a message.  My last call tonight was at 7:30 p.m. tonight asking for a specific member of my household.  I advised them that they were calling a business line and they didn't seem to care. I gave no information and hung up.  I heard very strange noises in the background almost like game show sounds.  i.e., ding ding ding ding., continuously.  

Anyway, Iv'e had this number added to the DNC registry along with my home lines for a while now but I still get some pretty bizarre calls at times.

Unfortunately, business numbers are not protected by the DNC rules, only residential numbers and personal cellphone numbers.  While you can place a business number on the list doing so is meaningless since business to business sales call are exempt.  Your caller may have been a collection agency and we all know most of them don't follow any of the collection laws and don't care who they harass.  They are convinced all the information they have is 100% correct and the number they are calling is THE number to reach whomever they are after.

888-336-3476  - Message on phone was someone talking to someone else:  "...he won't answer the door" or something like that.

Just got a call from this number stating if I want to switch to a fixed rate then this is a great time to refinance.  I already knew it was a scam by the fixed rate thing.  The caller stated they were calling from ENG Lending of the bank of England.  I then told them not to call again after he said I can get you a better rate than your paying now over 4% (second strike) I am below 3.5%.  I advised them I was on their scam and advised them not to call again and then hung up.

At approximately 1515 Mountain Time today, 27 January 2015, I had a call from 888-336-3476.  The caller, a male who is almost certainly American, said he was with "ENG Financial."  He claimed to be trying to sell lower rate, 30-year fixed rate mortgages to "veterans."  I was extremely polite as I had seen several other "888" telephone calls on my landline phone over the past 2 or 3 weeks.  I wanted to know as much about the caller as he wanted to know about me.  As a retired federal employee, he did not get any information out of me that isn't readily available to anyone familiar with using the Internet.

I, too, am on the federal "Do Not Call" list.  Towards the end of my conversation with this gentleman today, I informed him of that.  I said that "I am a veteran" and politely added that my wife and I had arranged a 3.25 percent, fixed rate 30 year loan under the GI Bill loan on my home in 2012."  This guy may have been fishing.  My only question is why doesn't our federal government enforce the "Do Not Call" list?

I added 888-336-3476 to my "Call Blocking" feature with AT&T U-verse.  My phone does not ring, but when I check my call log there are 40 calls from this number since 6/17/2015 (last available date on my call log).  I too am on the "Do Not Call List".  Since my phone does not ring because I have included this number on my blocking feature, my only complaint is seeing this number on my missed calls list!

Number appears as TOLL FREE CALLER.

Just rec'd a call and I picked up the receiver and I immediately hung up. NEVER talk to SCAMMERS. Caller ID said 800 service. They call regularly.

told me my profile came across his desk. When I asked profile for what he got chippy.  Told him to take my name off his list.  Hung up on him. Arrogant pos.

I have been getting many of these calls on any day of the week and at any time.  After ignoring these calls, I finally decided to call back after blocking my number using *67 (great tool for calling back unknown #'s).  A recording came on saying they were :ENG Lending" and if you know your party's extension and so on.  I guess they are a legit company and also an annoying one.

Sorry, *67 does NOT work when calling a toll free number.
Y'see, toll-free number owners pay extra to see ALL calling numbers.

Also, if you do not have an account with ENG Lending, and they (or some scammer) are calling you, why do you think it is legitimate?  After all, cold calls from telemarketers are violations of the Do Not Call policies, if you are on the DNC list.

I do not think that all companies do that though.  One time I recalled a number two hours later and they called me by another name.  The person they thought was calling must have been the last robo call they made before I called them.
