They have been requesting employment information and someone has now attempt to retrieve personal information through the web and my phone account!!

Legit companies don't have to pay shills to post on this site --- BUSTED!

I have been receiving calls from them as well. It appears that they have obtained "just enough" of the basic info. from the web to be able to do this! I did take out loans BUT have paid them all OFF COMPLETELY so there is no reason what so ever for these people to be calling me. They also faxed a verification of employment to my office (I suppose to scare people into calling them). They gave it to me and I called them and tried to figure out what they were trying to collect on, they hung up on me. Now that's real professional, isn't it??!!
They have never sent me anything via US Mail or Certified Mail, etc. but they choose to fax a form like this to my place of employment! In this econemy, people are loosing their jobs left and right, all we need is some scam of a company harrassing us at our place of employment and giving the companies reason to let us go. WOW, It appears to me that if these people keep faxing these scarey forms to our employers, they could put our jobs at risk. If anyone truely did owe this money, they sure won't get any money if the debtor looses their job!! Anyway, my employer faxed the form back with a statement telling them not to contact them or me ever again. They even called me at 11pm this week! Also, check your individual state laws. Some states do not allow wage garnishment UNLESS the debt is owed to the Federal Government.

they just called my house got my daughter upset, called my cell (saved message) and boss just gave me a fax they just sent, no address listed.  Don't know why they are calling, no bills do.  Have run a credit check nothing showing up.  Going to forward to state attorney generals office to see what i can do to find out who and why this is going on.

IF they are sooo legit...why cant i find them anywhere on the law firm listed in Florida.  They are based out of Hollywood, FL.  For a $300 loan, they are telling me i owe $630, which $430 has been taken out of my acct already, as a settlement because they threatened to take me to court for an ILLEGAL payday loan in NJ

I am haveing the same problem. I think that who ever these scammers are should be SUED and all of us that are being harrased should be getting a settlement. This is really getting sickening.

Yes ,im in Texas too, and they are calling me too about a payday loan . If im right , Texas does not allow wage garnishments period!!

I have been getting messages from this firm saying that I need to have my legal representative to contact them. I have no idea what this is in regards to but have an idea now that I have read other comments. I have had pay day loans in the past and are paying them off and I know the people names and numbers in which I am dealing with. They are now contacting my employer asking for info. I don't appreciate so called firms contacting my employer. Be a real person and contact me and amswer the phone when I call you back to find out what is going on. If this is in regards to a pay day loan that has gone into collections and it being a legit loan, I am willing to take care of this, but if not, PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE and quit the threats!!!!  Thank you.

I work for the Epstein and Rothman firm, and the company does not scam anyone. There are a multitude of individuals that can attest to the fact that their accounts have been satisfied and resolved through our firm. By the way, the word FIRM is not only applicable to law, but a multifaceted word utilized through finance. As any company that has a field in finance, fees are always attached, even at your  local neighborhood bank! We are not a-law firm-we are a collection agency contracted to resolve claims on the behalf of our client, VOE- Verification of Employment requests are a part of that process.

Like any business you are going to have individuals that are unprofessional, that does not imply that a company is a scam. You do have scam companies out there, especially the Indians contacting individual and using legal company names-and fake ones-to steal from people-BEWARE OF THEM!

Also, I want to address the fact of the mailing address, their are many fortune five hundred companies that have reps and agents that are down-right rude, and a number of these companies have you subscribe to a post office box for all mailings, many even monetary payments; that's not a show of illegality. Upon accepting the loan, finance fees were agreed to, remember that please. I wish you well!

I also received a phone call from this firm today.  They also called my mother in law and had her scared out of her wits that I was in some sort of legal trouble.  The caller who claims her name was Tiffany Robinson(although I doubt that was really her name) left a voicemail stating the following. "  I have a petition on my desk for malicious intent under your name and social security number.  If you do not resolve this debt within 48 hours, it will be filed in criminal court and will include penalities such as a revocation of your drivers license for 6-12 months, wage garnishment and court fees in excess of $3000. When I called her back, she stated the same statement as she said above once again.  I told her that I was not an idiot and I knew criminal charges could not be filed in a debt collection case.  She said I gave false information so that I was on the hook criminally for malicious intent.  I told her I was going to report her to the FTC as well as the AG and she stated, "well then I guess we will see you in court" and then hung up the phone.

There are fair debt collection practices that this firm are not abiding by.  It really doesn't matter if they are legit or not.  Whenever you call someone threatening them with criminal action and the revocation of their drivers license because they have not paid a debt, then you are breaking the law!

This info was on a letter I recieved. They claim to be an Arbetrtor not an Atterny. I called n spoke to someone. Will be calling florida's Att Gen to verify company. But there is a new scam out where scam artic pose as collections from a debt u actually owe. Some people r quick to resolve only to find out later they where scammed.

i received a call form the "FIRM" as well, from a "Michael Wescott" stating that they were going to take me to court for fraud!! LOL... he stated that whe ni applied for my loan i was unemployed, however the true case is when i recieved the loan I WAS WORKING but unfortunately my job fired me 2 days after because the temp service i was working for did seasonal cuts... When i told the gentleman i would like to work out a payment plan once i start working he stated... he wanted the money now and hung up... UNPROFESSIONAL AND IM SKEPTICAL OF THIS "FIRM"!!!!!!!!!!!

They are located out of buffalo ny under a man by the name of frank Davis...and Dj Ochterski ..they are in a heap of trouble with several state ags you might want to strike while the iron is hot...They have a location in Florida. 8963 Stirling Rd. Cooper city Fl, 33024 to be exact. Frank Davis' cell phone # is 7164177390...Dj's # is 7022873746. Their admin's # is 7166985119 and the Supervisor's (Juan) number is 9544963362. I'm sure they've changed the company name and toll free number by now but it's really sad how these people operate. Also, check this article out. I'm sure Frank Davis will not be doing too much illegal debt collections now! But when it comes money hungry people...u just never know......

Yes, it is a scam.  They call us all the time and threaten that if we don't take care of it over the phone an officer will come to the door to have us arrested.
