Looks like it's a collection agency called CVCS.

I have been getting this call too. I think it is CBCS, some kind of bill collections agency. I called them and only got an answering machine. I asked them to put me on their do not call list but it did no good. I have been getting them daily for about 6 months.

This a particularly vile bottom-fishing collection agency with the acronym CBCS. "Collection Service" are obviously the last two words, and I would submit "Crap Bag" would be an accurate rendition of their operation. They are the latest in a series seeking payment on an account long past the statute of limitations for this state and charged off by the original debt holder five years ago. They have the utter gall to insist the debt is still enforceable. Liars. If I had the funds (being divorced and disabled in quick succession pretty much eliminated that changing), I would make some sort of accommodation with the original debtor. I will not pay a cent to this bottom feeding slime mold. The liberal loonies in Washington take more than enough of what little I have.

Robo-collection messages left for a person not living at said #. Regardless of being told phone calls persist daily (weeks now)and it is very annoying! Glad they're not after me personally but it still sucks.

Swear at them excessivelly, they stop calling . I use this method to vent anger too lol

If it is a collection agency and they persist in calling after being informed you do not wish to contacted by phone, you might consider telling them if they call again you will blow a whistle in their ear the next time anyone from their firm calls. Who wants a loud whistle blown in their ear - no one I know of. Try it, you'll like it.

I got this call from them today. I got a letter from them last week. The original debtor was Discover. They are about the 4th collection company in 5 yrs. IF u look at ur state's statue of limitations, u can tell if u have to pay this or not. Here it is 3 yrs. and that bill is from 5 yrs ago. So legally I don't have to pay. U have to write them a letter stating that u want no further contact from them. That's what I am gonna do.

I got my new phone about a year ago.  Only close friends have the number.  I never use it for any business or credit transactions.  What I have found is that the person that had this number was a slime bucket and has creditors looking for him. That is their way of life.  When it gets too hot, get another phone and account!  If these people are so stupid to think such a person is going to keep the same number they are pretty damned lame themselves.  My friends all have distinct ringtones and the generic one is five seconds of total silence.  Call until you are blue in the face!  If you have a problem with that come see me, that is if you have any clue as to whom you are pissing off.  We have a civil K9 that would love nothing more than to chew your stupid, worthless ass up.

He meant the politicians in Washington steal our tax money and blow it, er excuse me, they appropriate it for discretionary spending projects. Though I'm conservative and in years past would have bashed the "liberal loonies" on the left for their tendency to take money from the unwilling to give to the unworking... recent history has taught that conservatives only take and blow a little bit less... but first they lie to you about it. Im sure the man understands his own problems.
