Decian que debia devolver urgente la llamada y comunicarme con el abogado referente a una demanda a mi nombre. Tenian mi telefono y nombre. al llamar no di informacion, comenzaron a preguntar si yo era esa persona, sus ultimos numeros del seguro social y donde vivia, a todas dije no, entonces me dijeron que borrarian el numero y tratarian de conseguir a la persona que buscaban. Me extraña ya que el mensaje que dejaron si tenia mi nombre y el que el supuesto abogado me dio era al reves. Parecia un truco. Pero como tenian parte de mi informacion????

I got a call with no Caller ID asking me to call 888-383-0163. It was not FROM this number, but this is the only thing I have from them. It is about a "possible legal action" against me. I do not have any legal actions against me and I have no debts. I have a very common name. I have not called them back.  With a call like this I wait for something in the paper mail.

Ya van varias veces que me llaman de este numero diciendo que tengo una demanda y que llame al abogado. Gracias a Dios yo no tengo demandas ni debo asi que no verdad esta llamada. Les digo esta para que no se preocupen si le llaman de este numero y porfavor Bloquear este numero!

got a call from this number 888-383-0163 with a case number they claim i owe a debt i paid it off was able to build up my credit not a scam professional firm.

got a call lady was cordial, but says i have a legal matter and that i am to be served, and they will have a server  come in the next few days.
She state that they were Berk&Associates - gave me a case number and the phone# 888-383-0163.
i couldn't  find Berk and Associates in my area and i do not have any over due bills and checked my credit, for any problems. Nothing- SCAM!! She knew my name also- trick r unusual bill collectors to get money?

This number called my work!  Must be a very old debt, as it's not on my credit report, and my credit score is climbing! Been in the same home for 30yrs, if they want to serve me.

I received the same voicemail as everyone else. Except they called my mothers cell phone and left the same message in regards to me.

They called claiming we owed money on an old account. I asked them to send me a letter stating the validity of the debt. The agent says he didn't have to because on his computer screen it says it's valid. We bought out home a few years ago and was required to pay off any bad debt. FYI, in California the statute of limitation on unsecured debt is 4 years. The agent from this company cliamed that they bought the account from the original creditor in 2011. Scumbag scammers!

I have received multiple harassing phone calls from this phone number asking for someone I do not know. They started asking me questions about how long I have had my phone number for and wanting to know my name. When I told them that information was none of their business and asked what the name of their company was, they hung up on me. I called multiple times to find out what the name of the company was and was repeatedly threatened and hung up on by a man that was answering. A woman finally answered the phone with the company name, which is Bergen Associates. I looked up the name of the company and have found multiple websites with complaints from people about this company calling them with harassing phone calls and threats. They use different phone numbers as well. Any legitimate company will never have an issue providing you with their company name and information. If they become rude and hang up on you if you request something as simple as their company name, you should definitely know that something is very wrong.

I've received two phone calls from these scammers, both asking for me by a previous married name...of which I've been divorced from the man for 20 years! Same thing, gave me a case number, said they are going to press charges and have this suit filed...blah blah blah. My credit score is almost 800 and just recently bought a house so if this is "old debt" from 20 years ago, good luck...file the suit as I won't give you a dime!

I just got the call too. She couldnt send me any paperwork directly i have to call back their number and give a case number. If im being taken to court ill bet they have my address to mail me the paperwork directly.
She said they were with Bergman associates. Hi had her spell it. I couldn't find any firm with that name. Michelle you didnt fool me.
