    Tired Consumer
They called my daughter to say I'm being sued TODAY.  Gave her a "case number" when I called back, they don't answer with a company name just "corporate offices" they have aggressive tactics.

Definite scam. They called my dad I haven't talked to in 10 years and told him I had him listed as an emergency contact. He knew right away it was shady (I live across the country as wel) they had the same message it seems like everyone else is getting.

This caller actually contacted my ex-fiance sister looking for me. I been broke up from my x for 6 years and I'm cool with her sister on FB. I never called the number back because there is nothing to tie me with her sister on paper that I owe a debt to. Btw the lawyer calling name is David James and a case number.

I forgot to mention that Mr.Jim Sanders gave me a number to reach him directly 951-306-1240 no answer his voicemail picked up saying his name and his company (Reading Financial) Waiting to see if he calls me back. I unlike the rest of you didn't catch on that it was a scam until I had already given them my credit card info. I'm trying to stop payment but my bank is saying that the transaction is pending so they cant stop it now. I will not stop until I get to the bottom of this. How dare these scum bags take money out of my child mouth. I am a single mother I can't afford to just give my money away. Nobody can now a days.  So no matter how believable they are make sure you always google something that sounds the last bit fishy. I know will from now on.

Next time someone calls and says you owe them money, tell them to prove it. By law, legitimate debt collectors have to mail proof of the debt within 5 business days of initial contact. Phone calls, faxes, texts, and emails are not legal methods of debt notification.
Oh, and if you were going to be served you wouldn't be warned in advance. Yet more proof this is a scam.
