I received a call from this number but did not answer because I did not recognize the number. The caller left no voice message.

Called and identified herself as Amanda Williamson.  She is calling for Congressman (Tom) Cole and they want to Recognize me!  WOW!  I told them he (me) wasn't here.  Called back after hours, answering machine says they are Business Advisory Council for the National Republican Congressional Committee. Their website http://www.businessadvisorycouncil.org says the phone number is 1-877-467-6722. They also have the number (202) 479-7000 at National Republican Congressional Committee, 320 First Street, S.E, Washington, D.C. 20003

Same as Roberts' call except the name used was Bessie Cargil calling on behalf of Tom Cole.

they want donations... the web site above is correct... called and asked to be removed from their call list, took only seconds and have yet to recive another call.

Yup just got this call also same as above except it was a Gene segal who called me.. JUNK.....

Just received a call this morning from "Patricia Speakman". My husband is a winner of the Order of Merit as well. Maybe we all need to get together and call them a few times. Why isn't stuff like this considered harassment or something? It is sad to think that somebody actually gets paid for this kind of stuff. Probably by our tax dollars. Congrats to all you other winners! I am just glad there is a website like this so attention can be bought to "junk" phone calls.

I was nominated for an award. Janet Hoffman from Con. Tom Cole. They got my info out of our small business info. I cant beleive it that this scam is still having today. Is there  a way that we could reort this to the FTC?

I received the call too, I looked it up on the net before calling, this really pissed me off because I have been trying to get help to improve my tiny town of 300 because local gov. wont. I didn't remember communicating with any Tom Cole, so I couldn't figure out why HE would want to give me an award!I have been doing a lot and it would be great to be recognized and bring some light on Wyaconda, MO so this just kinda pissed me off!

I got this call too.  It was Janet Hoffman who left the message for me.  What is really funny is that when she was reading the script she mistakenly called it the "International Republican Congressional Committee"--kindof like IHOP, or IRCC.  Oh, by the way, I have gotten calls from the Democratic Party AND the Billary campaign who want me to give them money--so this game goes both ways.

From Congressman Cole of OK office and the National Republican Committee.  SLEAZE all the way--offering a Congressional Medal of Honor. How ironic--I am on the DO NOT CALL NATIONAL REGISTER and just changed my voter registration AWAY from the dying republican party.

I rate this phone call right up there with the UK Lottery, an inhertence from some dead person and the bank who needs my help to get his money out of China.
All of them, on the end wants money and it is a scam. I think I will ask for a COD wooden plaque for MY money. if everyone did that: ask for a wooden plaque stating they were awarded the Congressional Order of Merit, COD, watch how quick they would change tatics@!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a few calls to my office from Helen Clement.  Yup, you guessed it.  I won too.  First of all, she was rude to anyone on the phone that wasn't me.  Second, I'm not Republican!  Duh, maybe they should check their listing a bit more carefully.
