888-383-9034

Got two calls from a woman claiming to be "Tina Bell," a process server who got an order across her desk to serve me.  She gives a "case number" that doesn't match anything in the county or state I'm in, and doesn't leave any details other than that I need to call the plaintiff in this case immediately.  She then gives me a number of 888-383-9034, which comes up in a search as "Morgan Florist" in Minnesota.  When I call the number, a recording answers "Prudential" and then I'm left on hold.  

I know it's a bottom-feeding debt collector, and I want to send them a cease and desist letter because they are violating all sorts of FDCPA rules, but I have no idea who they are.  Caller ID just showed "Private Number."  

Has anyone received calls like this, where they have been told to call 888-383-9034?  Does anyone know who this company is?

I to received a similar call, the Lady said she was a debt collector for Rent A Center and when we said this is BS she started in on your not cooperating and I will come to your job and serve you papers if I have to and she said that she is going to start proceedings with the court so we would have to appear in court to resolve this matter..So we hung up and she called us back and said the same thing and said we were rude and uncooperative and we will see you in court and gave us a bogus account # and the same phone number, which also when called answered as Prudential, and was put on hold...This [***] thinks we are stupid to fall for this crap. She also asked for my husbands last four digits of his social security # and he said you tell me what it is and she spouted of some random numbers that wern't even close...So we just laughed at her and said do you really think we would give you our numbers over the phone when we know for a fact we never even rented anything from rent a center and especially 4 years ago...Dumb [***] [***]..
