- N| 1 replyReceived voice mail from 336-457-4096, a woman saying she needed to discuss my student loan payment options with some urgency. I was to call 888-392-0590. She said the matter was time sensitive, needed my immediate attention and she was going to go ahead and extend the matter to remain open on the account until Friday. (Today is Friday.) I am behind in student loan payments but Navient has never left a message on my cell so I'm presuming this to be a scam.
- Caller: no name given
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- RJ| 1 replySame as everyone else. Some woman (speaking perfect American English with no accent) identified herself (Jena Reece perhaps) about my student loans being delinquent. Said she’d grant an extension until Friday like everyone else mentioned). Suspect she may be prerecorded.
I have no student loans and have had this cell number for over 10 years so it’s unlikely it’s a skip trace.- Caller: Unknown Student Loan Collector
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- AnonymousJenna Reed, claiming to be a student loan debt collector. SCAM.
- Caller: “Jenna Reed”
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- Miles| 2 repliesSame as above--voicemail message said it was "Jenna Reed," User ID 7620, "I'm calling in reference to your student loans to discuss your repayment with some urgency due to some changes taking effect recently," and asks me to call her at the 888-392-0590 number. Then she says, "I'm going to give you a reference number to have handy when you call back in, it's just gonna make things a lot easier if you have that, it is 00339." Finishes by saying she's gone ahead and extended the matter in my account to Friday.
100% is a scam. Although I have student loans, I immediately logged in to my account and verified everything was fine, my account is set to auto-pay and it's set to make the next payment as scheduled.- Caller: Not Specified
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- Devin| 1 replySame experience as the above victims of this scam. Agent claimed to be named Jenna Reece. She stated her agent number was 7620, and my reference number was 00339.
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- Joe"Jenna Reed" calling regarding my "student loans and repayment options". Call came from a Fresno, CA number but her message was to call back 888-395-0590. Funny, I paid all my student loans off nearly 20 years ago. SCAM.
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- Devin replies to DevinI filed a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission about this scam.
- JohnI got the exact phone call from Jenna with the same reference number of 00339. Funny how we all have the same reference number. I don’t have any student loans so I assumed it was a scam. Now I am sure it is a scam. No company information is given.
- Caller: Unk

- Pissed Off replies to NThanks K, I just received a call. Caller ID read Nicole Wickham calling from 785-473-7355. The caller sounded like they were in a tunnel. It sounded like the caller’s name was Genivive? but she asked me to call her back at 888-392-0590 and it sounded like gave a case #. I didn’t understand a word she said. I’ve been out of college for 25 years, I have no student debt, fortunately. Hopefully someone will pop a cap in that [***] and she can make phone calls from Hell
- Jill S replies to ElisabethI received an identical message, about the same time today. Seemed sketchy to me because although she had my daughter's name, she likewise did not leave a company name and we are not in default.
- DeeSame call, same reference number, and I have no student loans. Didn't call back.
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- Lois replies to RJJust had the exact same call!
- LoisI don’t pick up the phone when I don’t recognize the number let alone call from a state that I know no one. When the number left voice message I listened - scam radar set in.
Lady identified herself as Jenna Reece ( it was kinda of muffled or she was eating something)
She stated time sensitive matter, and that she extended time til Friday to discuss repayment for a student loan. Blah Blah Blah
All the above comments confirm it’s a SCAM!
