Total scam...when I asked specific questions instead of simply providing the information she asked for she said have a nice day and hung up. The scammers are getting more sophisticated and using toll-free return numbers...and native English-speaking scammers so as to lure callers into thinking they are legit...but when I called the first number they called from I got a "this number is not in service" message. They are pinging numbers to call from a spoofed number and hoping to get callers to share the reference number...which then will confirm your working number as part of a way to obtain identifying information.

Scammer claiming i owed on student loans. They even called me by name and left a reference number attempting to look legitimate. I am positive i owe no loans. This is a scammer. The caller identified herself as Jenna Reed but did not identify a company.

Just got the same call. I have no student loans, lol. No company name mentioned in the voicemail, just that I "owe" student loans, the 888 callback number and a reference number. Was "kind enough" to extend "this time sensitive matter". How sweet of her.

Scam robocall re student loans. If you need to spoof your number when making calls like this, you’re a scam.

Received this voicemail, sounds convincing, she gave a reference number and everything. But I have never had student loans so this is obviously a scam. Call came from 832-342-4982.

Caller ID displayed "631-873-1922 (Brentwood, NY)".  Some woman identified herself (Jena Reece ??) about student loans being delinquent.  Said she’d grant an extension until Friday.   This could be related to anyone that has recently been applying to college or has a child applying to college.

Ditto.  Jenna calling about my student loan.  Don't have a student loan. Scam. And just a waste of time, for everyone.
