Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

I received a call from this number saying the same, that they have a report that I have committed tax evasion and tax fraud and should call immediately or they will have someone come to my door and arrest me. The caller ended with "have a blessed day".

I received a call from this number saying the same thing.... He said his name was Kevin Shaw, Badge #594982 From the Tax Audit  Department of the IRS and that he has a report that says I have committed tax evasion and tax fraud and if I don't  call immediately there will be a warrant out for my arrest.  The caller ended with "have a blessed day". When I called this number back a recording said that it was a discontinued and it was no longer in use...

Just recieved a call from 888-393-2430. The guy said that a warrant of my arrest was sent to the sherif. When I called the number back he said that they have a report that my wife committed tax evassion and fraud. When I said it was bull he hung up on me. I have since found out that this is a boggus number and was wondering why the IRS hasn't done anything about it.

My call was the same including have a blessed day.  I came right to my computer to see if there was any info. about this.  Thanks for relieving my mind.

Receive a call this morning saying they were going to turn this over to local sheriffs department for my arrest for tax evasion and tax fraud. We called our tax guy and he said its a fraud and not to call the number back. Just wanted people to be aware of this fraud and not to call them back.

I just got the same call, but from Patty badge #594983. Thanks for confirming it's a fraud call. I tried calling the IRS to report it, but they are close for the day.

Just got a call from this idiot, same name and badge number as above, if people are reporting this why haven't the IRS done something about it. Seems to me it would be easy to track them down and arrest them?

I just rec'd a call from 888-393-2430 saying the same thing.  They represent the IRS and there is a warrant for my arrest.... County sheriff coming to arrest me in 45 minutes.  I hung up on him and googled the number and found this scam.  It's alarming though... They have my name and address.

Same message as everyone is getting. This really scared my elderly parents.  I will have my parents call IRS hotline.  As I was badly scammed by someone posing as FBI...my parents knew to ask me about this terrifying phone call.  Please tell everyone you know about this scam.  Thank you.

I received calls from this number and when I googled IRS number to match it, there was no 888 number that matched on the IRS.GOV website. I called the number back and they answered immediately which was clear indication its not the IRS bc a government number would have a answering system to start bc they would be much too busy to answer every call that came in. Glad I googled the number and read all this.

Exact same call and message as previous above entries. A total scam! I filed a complaint at FTC.gov after notifying the local police. As advised earlier, you can also report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 800-366-4484. Alert your family and friends about this. I see from the notes that this may have started on Aug 20, 2014 and here we are in Sept. Sad!

I've received two calls from this number, both from "Donald," with the same message as noted above.  I reported the calls to both the FTC and the TIGTA--anything else that can be done?
