Extortion Scam Operation. Report them appropriately - links are in my post above. Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

He called and threatened me with an arrest warrant with an outstanding Aarons bill-5 years later!!!!!!  I had already told Aarons 5 years ago to come over and get the t.v.-that I had already paid for over a year and a half (I had paid $1,500 to them) and Walmart had the exact t.v. for $800 and Aarons wanted $1600 more for the exact same t.v (that would be a total of $3,100 for an $800 t.v.)!.  They never came and got it, they had written it off.  Now I am getting harassed by this "Edward Nash" that a warrant is going to be put out for my arrest if it doesn't get paid.  Do NOT fall for this scam artist, he has bought your information and trying to scare you into paying!  I told him exactly where I worked so the cops could find me easily, which won't happen because he is a "dubious" debt collector and doesn't have any authority to put out a "warrant" for your arrest.

There is no Oscar Gamble law firm, if that's who they said they were.  They are most likely  Oscar and Gamble Investigations, a group that specializes in regaining rented property that has not been returned to the rental agency.  http://www.oscargambleinvestigations.com/

They usually work for Aaron's rent-a-center or similar groups.

No private investigator or debt collector can issue an  arrest warrant.   Arrest warrants are only issued by judges on the basis of probable cause that the named person has in fact committed a crime.  And warrants are only issued to duly constituted law enforcement officers and are served by law enforcement agents, not some scammy repo agent or debt collector.

If you are in possession of rented property, get back to the original person you rented the property  from and work out some kind of settlement.

In some states people ARE prosecuted for failure to return rental goods if they have defaulted on payments.  But the rental agency would have to make a police complaint.

hmmm,UH-HUM,omfg, LOL & Kendall, let me try to explain this so that all your personalities that have the same feeble no comprehending mind could understand the situation.
hmmm wrote"The report states that police were dispatched ""sending certified letters and notification from legal counsel,""As a result, the store's manager chose to press charges,""the store manager also reported"
UM-Hum wrote "Waco Police Department sees about four to five cases a month like this one.""They just stop paying it and won't return it, or will move and the realty company won't know when to contact them," said Sgt. Patrick Swanton, Public Information Officer for Waco Police Department. "They will send them a certified letter saying either bring it back to us or pay off or we are going to file. And if they don't, we are going to file charges."
omfg wrote "Dothan police""The police statement said investigators have signed felony warrants charging ""Police signed a warrant against Owens after an investigation revealed he took the property without paying for it, leaving the business with a financial loss""Dothan police arrested "
LOL wrote "A Carlisle man faces charges from several police agencies "
Kendall wrote  "Looks like they did engage third parties ""Not really, many debt collection concerns have attorney's working for or with them to file civil, or in these cases, criminal charges against those who ignore them or flatly refuse to pay"

So let us look at all these stories and find the common element.  The common element is that the company or the store manager called the police department and filed a complaint alleging that these individuals rented items from their stores and then failed to pay for or return them. It was then the POLICE DEPARTMENT that filed criminal charges, not the attorneys or third party debt collectors that have no power to arrest anyone, period.  Nowhere in any of those stories was it indicated that criminal charges were filed by the attorney that was retained by the rental company.

Now the only true part of your last post was "Fact is no one should ignore or take lightly contact from an attorney or debt collector, nor should one accept any advice over the internet from unknown sources, contact a qualified attorney."
Where I would like to point out that that applies to what you have said as well.  Especially since your object here is to try to legitimize a company by the name of Oscar Gamble, or according to their web site Oscar + Gamble who again has been proven to have no license, no business license, no corporate registration, and advertises itself as investigators but also has no license to do so, all the afore mentioned items are required by law to be in business.

So what new screen name are you going to reply with?  You really should see a doctor about that identity crisis you are having.

Dumb.  Only judges issue warrants and they only issue them on application by duly constituted law enforcement officers.  Judges do not issue warrants to debt collectors and debt collectors have no influence on the criminal justice system.

    Very Annoyed Wife
I received a phone call from this jerk named Edward Nash, representing Oscar and Gamble, regarding my husband and theft of property. I asked him what property and if this was a scam. He advised me that unless he spoke with my husband that he could not discuss anything and that this was not a scam. Look up the name Oscar Gamble and the name comes up under a baseball player. Please be on guard
