Zapped it on the 3rd ring, with the call blocker - did a *57 ( call trace ) - did a *63 ( selective call forwarding to a disconnected # ) . I've read many comments about someone calling 5 times a day from the same # ! Your unwanted calls will decrease,if you do something about it !

Problem with your "call trace" is scammers often spoof legitimate phone numbers. And how often do you check to make sure that disconnected number is still disconnected?

Automated caller who does not identify his company. Says I am due a refund. Call 888 number. This is a scam. Do not call the number!
The computer generates thousands of calls. When you call back, they put you on the call list for SUCKER. Then sell your number to other scammers.

I have had these calls many times lately from different numbers.  I can't prove it, but I'm sure it's coming from India.  If this was true and not a scam the company would automatically send me a refund, either by check or by applying it back to a card that was used.  They would at least send a letter and not some monotoned robocall.

Scammer trying to get a refund to you from Microsoft-  No Way.  It is a real number and sounds like a call center in india.  I spoke in spanish and the "gentleman" just could not understand anything I said but responded with the F word many times and not to call him.

In this case,it isn't a spoof #. You can call it back. My *63 # is still disconnected - try calling 970-330-6931. If you prefer, you can block a # with a *60 ( call block ). Block your own #,so you don't get that spoof # with your name / your # on your incoming caller I.D. *77 blocks " unknown name / unknown # ". Call blockers can block an entire area code.

I think it's hilarious that they have a synthesized voice claiming to be a real person named Cathy Jackson.
