Just left automated message to call for refund. Checked the number here and found out it’s a scam.

As above. Common scam.   We report these to the feds, believing it a moral responsibility to do our part....If people stopped falling for these scams, they would stop! In any event, unfortunately, the website isn't working amidst the shutdown.

Oh wow, I got a refund coming. This is my lucky day. Yeah right!!

I've been called back before when my number was spoofed.  But it's been a year or two and it never happens anymore.  Everyone is so overwhelmed with Robocalls now, no one bothers anymore.

Calls repeatedly without leaving a message. I am on the National Do Not Call Registry, so I used their "report unwanted calls" reporting system.

Said something about my social security and all my benefits frozen until I pay

I received multiple postcards saying "congratulations on your new home" and should call for a complimentary $100 gift card for amazon or Lowes or Target, etc. When I called the person said they would test my water for free, give me the results, and the gift card.
I suspect they would then badger me to buy a water softener or filter system for the home...but I didn't wait to find out I just hung up.
