Didn't get a call from this number -- but a friend's email account was hacked, and his email address and contact list apparently sold to a lot of scammers/spammers.    Today I got one of those from "his" account (spammy account using his name), saying to call this number to apply to a site that will "forgive" student loans.  As a result -- this phone number is on my block list -- in case they move from spamming emails to calling.

Same thing.  Spam e-mail to forgive student loans.  The only issue I have with this is that I got drafted in 1970 and never went to college.  I have no student loans.  If anybody is so stupid as to believe this crap, they get what they deserve.

Don't bother with this number 888-397-1584 .....Its a fake student loan scamm......These crooks just want your personal information.......To obtain credit cards and also try to file taxes in your name.....Thats why they are scamming people with this fake student loan... They will ask you for your social security ..Only to use it in a criminal way.........The fbi is already looking at these crooks operation..........

Do not call this phone number.  I looked into.  They are crooks of the worst sort.  They email repeatedly and it turns up in my spam folder.  This is the same number that all of the above are mentioning.  I did not even click on the link these same individuals supply for being taken off their list to receive anymore emails from them.  I felt it was a "trick" to locate info otherwise through clicking it.  Do not be fooled.  I just delete.

It is in your spam folder because your e mail provider knows it is nothing but trash.  Clicking on any link from an unknown e mail can do a lot worse than verify your e mail address.  It can download, viruses, spyware, malware, or worse to your computer.
