Yeah some clown leaving a common name using an area code geo targeted phone number on my caller id. SCAMMER!

I got the call on, of all things, my cell phone. I tried calling back, and nothing. Is this caller in NC? He knew the name I go by, and didn't call me by my given first name.

Continues to call this number and asking for someone that I do not know.  Caller identifies as Partick Taylor and continues to state that I must not be aware of whats going on in his office today.  I also need to return this call immediatly to prevent further action.  Caller called on a no traceable cell number 210-591-8920 and leaves me the 888# to return call.  When I stated that he had the wrong party, he continued to call me by the name of ther person her was calling telling me to " come on, you know you are ?".  When I asked him to cease and desist, he just hung up.

I got the exact same thing!!!! I wish I could have reached through the phone and choked him.  He ended up calling me a [***] and hanging up.

They said they were D2 Management and I owed money on a vehcle that I gave up to a repo back in 2002 bacause I was prego and couldnt get hired anywhere. They said they would garnish my wages and without a trial..that they could do this if I didnt make a payment today! They would take a settlement of $2288.00 toaday!

They keep calling my cell and my work number, won't leave a company name but say that they have a 1099-C form that needs to be filed with the IRS, but I don't need any forms filed with the IRS and I haven't gone by the name they call me in years.

What did you end up doing about the repo? Did they ever do anything. I just a voice message saying to call them back.

Yep, D2 Management and Associates.  888 397 5794 was the number supplied via voicemail, and the number the call originated from is 502 410 0049 which is listed as located in Kentucky.  The individual identified himself as Shawn Smith, and sought to resolve a matter as soon as possible.

Got a message today from a number from Tampa, FL. His name was Mr. Daniel and said that I need to contact them soon to resolve a time sensitive matter. The number to call is 888-397-5794. I got a similar call few months ago about the same. I think they are spam and I am filling a report to the FTC.
Normally  a Telemarketer should also said the company name that they are working from and have the full name. Be careful if you get a phone call like this.

1099 C is a scam... you would be lucky if they filed one against you for a small debt.  That wipes it out as a forgiven debt with tax implications, but for 500 or under it probably wouldn't even change the tax bracket by enough to require you to pay the IRS any more than around $20.  The truth though is that they aren;t allowed to threaten IRS action, that violates your Consumer Rights.

The caller I.D. said 714 area code. I rejected the call. Caller left voice mail stating that they need to obtain a statement from me re: some important paperwork with my name & my SSN#. Told me to call back to the 888-397-5794 # above. So, I called the # back.  At first it asks you to put your # in. I wouldn't. I waited. Called auto transferred to Customer Service. Rep. ansewred & stated the name of the com[pany is D2 Management & Associates. Supposedly some pre-legal place. She kept insisting that I give her a number to answer my questions re: who & what they are & do. She inquired about the # that I was calling from as well. She said that the # I was calling from was not in the system therefore she couldn't tell me anything about the prior phone call. I politel;y said "Unh Hunh" & hung up. Just what I thought a scam. BEWARE

Guy called on a LOCAL prepaid cell number and left (888) 397-5794 as the number to reach him regarding "an important matter" that I may not know about yet ??  Then said he would explain when I called back.

Came from a 314 area code.  Said he had an important matter to discuss and left this 888 number.  I figured it was a debt collector or sales pitch.

My wife just got a call from a (619) area code and the girl just left a message on her phone.  The number she left to call was 888-397-5794.  The girl (imature) states that my wife had a loan that was taken out in her social and that the date was back in 2004.  The girl could not give the month or tell my wife what her last name was, and just called her by her first name.  Supposedly the loan was taken out from Budget Loans, and that if my wife didn't pay, "She would hate to take food off the table and file a 1099."

just had the same voice mail with the same phone number calling me by my maiden name and saying they had my social on a case paper and to call back just left a name of dawn no company name.

This is a scam. They called from a Rhode Island area code for my girlfriend. Our phones are in her name but we kept my Rhode Island numbers i have had for over ten years. She has never even been to Rhode Island before. When i called back , i got a lady with a southern accent. She said she was from S. Carolina. I asked why the Rhode Island area code before. She said vonage ran out of South Carolina area codes. (haha insulting) Then she needed my girlfriends ss number to discuss it with me. I said how about i give u her birthday. She said ok thats good enough. This isnt even a good scam. its a joke. Please spread the word. These check cashing/payday loan places are now in the buisiness of selling the personnal info of charged off depts to known scammers. The payday loan place gets pennies on the dollar for it but its better than nothing for them.

And as for all the positive posts , they are employees posting. This is the second listing from a google search regarding them. Not rocket science.

I received a call in regards to my Husband and the apparent debt was from 2006; we didnt even know each other then and I told them that. I also asked my husband about it and he looked at his records and never had any business with such company that they were saying he owed. I just received my 2nd call so Im not sure if its a scam or what. I feel that it is because I receive a similar call from different law firm and I actually made the arragements to pay then found out that the debt that they were collecting on was already paid by myself 6 months prior and was unable to retrive any money that I had paid. So Im really on the fence about it.

Does anyone know how to report this company?  This is a scam
They are calling from 843-277-0702 877-851-7773 314-338-3611 Mr. Daniels, Stephanie  do not give them any information.
