Next thing I know this guy hands me an envelope and says "You've been served!" Turns out I'm too late to work out a settlement on a 2 year old debt that I used my checking account on and now I'm being sued! I officially hate Mondays and should have called in!!

It is gratifying to see that no thread here is too insignificant to attract the attention of the scammers.
Let's take a look at what was said. First the post is in ALL CAPS, always a sign of ignorance, and scammers are usually pretty ignorant folks.
Second, this appears to be in regard to a payday loan, and by now everyone should know what a bunch of dissembling low life creeps the payday loan "collectors" are.
Third, being served does not usually make it "TOO LATE TO WORK OUT A SETTLEMENT" with a legitimate collector.
So it appears that what we have here is a cute little fictional story intended to strike fear into people's hearts so that you can more easily take money from them that they never owed to you or anyone else. Am I right?
If you are smart you will just go away. Fortunately, you aren't too smart, otherwise you wouldn't be on here shilling.
The more you come here and tell stories, the easier it is for us to expose you for what you really are. No one is as naive and stupid as you seem to think, and once they come here, people get to see you for what you really are: fakirs.
Maybe you should go get a real job - something you are well suited for, like finding abandoned land mines using the braille method.
