Caller left a message asking for a call back to update important health insurance information required by Medicare information. Caller requested the call back be to this number and left a 7-digit number to use as an "Access Code". The caller did not provide any information about their agency's name.

Also got a call from the same number saying that it was Anthem Blue Cross.  They never specified what the call was about or why we need to call them back...so I'm not going to return the call.  Have been getting a lot of crank calls and phony messages lately.

I also received this call. It has to be a scam because when I called them to find out what this was about they said my message had "expired". Watch out for this number and this scam.

I called Anthem Blue Cross, which is my secondary insurance to Medicare, about the same recorded message today. The number given was 888-399-5576, along with an access code, and a "call by" date.

Blue Anthem advised me that it is a legitimate call from Blue Anthem in attempt to make any necessary updates to subscribers' information. However, my call to customer service sufficed and I didn't need to call the 888-399-5576. Customer Service confirmed my name & date of birth, I think that was all. The rep said they are getting a lot of calls regarding this pre-recorded message.

At first I was sure it was a scam call. I only called Anthem Blue Cross to check it in case it was a call regarding my current medical treatment. They must be calling section by section of the alphabet or maybe dates of birth, hence the cut-off dates for reply, in order to avoid inundation of their phone system.
