Also called my cell phone, could only hear background noise in voicemail, didn't speak.

answered call from 1-888-400-0822. Loud background noise and then they hung up

has called twice refusing to answer call until i know not a scamer

Called me twice, I answered the first time and they said nothing and it disconnected. I missed the second call.

Loud background noise. Asks for me to please call them back. Has left one message.

Left a message.  Could not understand who they said to call so not calling until I know more.

Has called me twice so far- 7/24/09 @5:18pm and 7/28/09 @9:37am.
They couldn't leave a message since I don't have vm.
I have no idea who it is. I assumed a bill collector of some sort.

This number keeps calling me about a Nissan car they say I've owned, and want my SSN.  Of course, I don't give it to them.
I have NEVER owned a Nissan in my life, and cannot get them to quit calling.  They say they can't quit untill I verify my SSN ... ha!  
They are obviously running some kind of scam.
Everyone, be aware.

888 4000 0822  is the phone number for the Automaster collections group.  Automaster is a buy here pay here car lot and this is the phone number for if you want to make a car payment or anything like that.  I just called this number(as I have an Automaster car) to make my car payment.

I don't know why they'd be calling if you didn't buy a car from them.

It's Automaster calling about your car loan

They left a message saying I was put down as a reference on an application.  The name of the person they said used me as a reference is someone I know.

Stated they were JC christian and associates
