Quicken Loans

Quicken Loans calling about a mortgage, apparently.  I have not applied with them - they got my name/number from some list, apparently.  They call repeatedly, all day long.  They are also somehow getting around my call blocker, which has 2 levels of protection.

Someone might have put your number when they asked for information.  Names and numbers are easily gotten off of the internet for free.  They don't need to buy a list.

It's definitely Quicken Loans and a live person.  First time I was polite and said I wasn't interested and I was at work.  He still wanted "just a few minutes of my time".  I hung up.  So far, 6 hours later, 4 calls and it's getting to the point of an angry stalker.  I'm going to block the number.  Wish me luck that he moves on.

Rocket Mortgage / Quicken Loans

Caller said he was from Rocket Mortgage. When I said that we are on the Do Not Call registry and asked for no more calls,, he said "Let me just make sure I have your correct address" and started to rattle off our home address. I used to do phone sales. They read from a script, and when you say you're not interested, they keep you on the phone by asking another question or by confirming the information that they have. I can't tell you how many times I turned a "no" into "yes" by keeping them from hanging up right away, and also making them feel good about the purchase. That was key because we had people who would call customers back the next day to confirm the sale, and I had very few cancellations. Just hang up and block the number!
